Fav tomorrow over 2m 5 at Wincanton after hacking up over same distance last time. Anyone know if this one is likely to be good enough for the festival. Can't see too many quotes from Nicholls plus you have the new race to contend with but at 80 now for the RSA it might be value albeit for pocket money.
Well we'll know know tommorrow but any decent sort of win and I'd be interested at those odds...worth having a nibble in what looks wide a open RSA at this time of the year. Nicholls obviously no slouch with chasers and has won it with Denman. This one could be anything after hacking up FTO

I'd think you'd have to say it's an early season contender after today. OK it fell but it jumped really well until then and IMO was going better than the winner when it came down. The winner was given a 25/1 quote for the RSA so I reckon the same about Robinson Collonges would be fair.

I don't know which horse you were watching mate but it wasn't Robinson Collonges. The only times he went left were when Wishfull Thinking took him left.
In my experience long distance chasers don't travel like this horse does.

Flyingbolt, when you berate and badger people you're behaving like an offensive OIK...
There is NO need for you or anyone to show an utter lack of class by constantly barracking people with abuse... it is a forum where everyone is entitled to an opinion and verbal bullies are just big mouthed idiots - the empty bottles rattle loudest...
Give the people a break... and if you cannot, why not take it down the local nuthouse where they won't mind

Bolt, you are out of order my friend. Its a forum for all,and cos someone says something that you regard as wrong,by all means disagree if you like, but done belittle, just makes you out to be a rather nasty person.

I love this forum as opposed to the horse racing one mainly due to the lack of idiots and the great info that can be gleaned from the knowledgeable posters in here.
Cant remember nasty comments like Bolts over the last couple of years.
Grow up mate.

Apart from my response to Somerset Moron's terribly upsetting post which of my comments did you find "nasty" ?
Budd Dananders and I are old adversaries. Don't take it to heart.

Topshot,Not a case of growing up,except maybe for those who think its grown up to belittle people on a public forum.
Bolt,i was unaware of your previous with Dananders.

ttt - Given he's running today in this hot handicap off 148 a decent run round Cheltenham would put him right in amongst the top RSA contenders at this time of the season.

Was also in the 2m 5f race at the cancelled Haydock meeting on Saturday. Headed for the Jewson? Festival novice chase entries out this week may give a clue...

Having said that if he wins on Sat/Sun and then goes for the Grand Annual I'll probably end up backing him.
The race I'd really like to see him in is the 2m novice chase at Aintree.

Interesting Flyingbolt. Novices do have a cracking record in the Grand Annual, though he's already on a mark of 148 (why??) - Pigeon Island (129) and Oh Crick (130) were considerably lower the last couple of years (not looked before that). Might that discourage the handicap route for RC?

Must admit Ive been having a look at him since reading this thread. He was still going well when coming down in a hot hadicap lto and Ill be interested in where he turns up come March.

Plus it looks like 1998 since anything won carrying over 11st Flyingbolt. 148 equated to 11st 6 last year and 11-4 in 2009, though Nicholls could take a few pounds off with a claimer. At this stage the new Jewson has thrown a spanner in the works!

Why they are going to run RC over 2m on quick ground tomorrow I don't know. Despite the opposition I'm not of the opinion this will suit this horse at all. Has never struck me as a 2 miler and don't think he will appreciate the ground at all (look at the times at Donny today). Never mind winning tomorrow I'm just hoping it doesn't scupper his chances of making the festival full stop. Would be delighted to see him declared an NR in the morning.

I think they're pretty keen to get a run - any run - into him. I agree 2 m seems a bit sharp, but he is entered in the Arkle, Jewson and RSA. I had him down as an RSA horse earlier in the season, but everything since hints at 2 1/2 m. I like the horse a lot (other than his falls) and also hope they don't wreck him.
