after "the nightingale" win,s at down royal saturday what are your predictions as to trading price for "ryanair at cheltenham "yes i really fancy the nightingale for cheltenham glory.

The trainer thinks he has to go right handed.

I will never forgive the trainer for not going for the RSA last season. Instead the trainer decided to go to Aintree on good ground, when the horse clearly needs soft ground.
The logical option would be the King George as he destroyed a good field there in February, but with Nichols having Kauto Star I doubt he will go there. Probably the Peterbrough Chase?? |

many thanks for construtive replys,meat loaf i backed the nightingale antepost last year for r.s.a ,,this year have taken 160/1,120/1,80/1,the nightingale "rynair",,180/1 the nightingale for king george vi,really like this horse ,saturdays race will hopefully answer many questions,,

He jumped so badly right handed at Aintree that I doubt he'll go left handed again in the near future. If all goes well at Down Royal I should think the John Durkan would be next.

 give it up Meat Loaf, he would not have seen what way Weapons Amnesty went i agree with both COM and flyingbolt, Pandorama if fit enough will beat him on Saturday, i also agree Pandorama is better left handed but think he will get away with it as he did at Fairyhouse |

Actually Satellite I think The Nightingale might win on Saturday.
No chance in the Ryanair though. Pandorama could be a major player in the Lexus and the Irish Hennessy. Maybe Newbury too. |

Pandorama is the class horse in the race but wouldn't he be carrying a 6llb penalty into the Hennessy if he won? After all it is only a pipe opener for the Hennessy. I'd just wonder if he'll be fully wound up...

After seeing his Aintree run I couldn't entertain him for the Ryanair. Indeed I'd be surprised if he runs on a left handed course this season. |

Mmm. I respect Ruby's opinion. However if I remember correctly it was him who said Denman would have no problem going right handed at Punchestown.
Got that spectacularly wrong didn't he ? As for the analysis that is Mr O'Hanlon's opinion. He might be right ,he might not. |

The horse is terribly injury prone - its a long way till the Spring.
Will likely miss Cheltenham and go for the Melling Chase as apparetly the horse needs a long break in between races and Aintree likely to suit better than Cheltenham. |

Has been given a rating of OR167.
Personally, I think that rating is a joke as basically the handicapper reckons it should now be capable of winning the Ryanair. |

If he needs to go right handed his options are limited unless he steps up to 3m (or down to 2m)
Peterborough Chase would be ideal and then the Ascot chase in January is the only other Grade 1 I can think of over 2m4f that is right handed. Myabe Punchestown would be the main festival to aim at rather than Cheltenham and Aintree? |

Really good horse on his ground, think there will be a few races for him to pick off in Ireland over the course of the year. The Ascot Chase in February is the obvious target for me.
