had a nibble at 50's, changed trainer and being aimed at it.

maybe if he was with nick williams. tim vaughan is not proven to be able to train top level horses
i like tim vaughan, i think hes a nice guyand a good trainer, im just outlining that the reason he may be big priced is that its not proven he can train top class horses on winter ground. i wish him every success though
ante-post betting on RSA a lottery with the new 2m 4f novice chase which may tempt many horses away from RSA. I imagine most horses would be doubly entered in both until very near the time depending on ground
One of my favourite horses, been following him since he won at Exeter for Nick Williams
He is a 3m galloping chaser in the mould of Denman so would rule out the 2m 4f race right away...for me the RSA Chase is the likely option, unless they go down the 3m handicap route and I wouldn't be at all surprised if they were to do that. However, there are too many ifs and buts for me about the horse this far in advance such as;
- is he the Cheltenham type ? Seems to really enjoy going right-handed so would like to see evidence he is just as proficient going the other way round
- is a soft ground horse for me so wouldn't be sure to get his ground at Cheltenham
- it is going to take a huge leap of faith for me to back this horse now that he is in that stable. Definitely worth watching his first few runs imo

Credit to connections for not shirking the issue and running him in a hot novice chase at Cheltenham first time out.
However, whilst he has had only two runs over the bigger obstalces, I am not convinced he is a natural lover of fences. Clouted a fair few on the way round yet was still in contention when being badly hampered two out yesterday. Has a serious engine but more importantly has a big big heart.
I really like the horse but I would be concerned with his jumping ability and I fear for him.
If I was lucky enough to own him I would forget the 2011 RSA and send this horse to Ireland to learn his trade in soft/heavy ground chases over 2m 4f / 3m. He would absolutely love the going and the slower pace of the races whilst learning the game. How about 4m chase at Chelt ?

Would stay all day imo but I think he is better than that to be honest
if he was with another trainer mayb tim vaughan should of ran him at uttoxeter on sat nt chel. dont rate him as a trainer along with alan king!
We can only wait and see what he does with better standard of horse like Beshabar before deciding overall about the trainer as he normally deals with lower end horses generally.
