Thought he guessed at quite a few today. Stiff track for your debut of course, and bound to get better with a bit more experience under his belt, but I'd think he will come a cropper soon enough if he jumps like that again. Seemed to jump quite low at a few too.
Other than that, nothing really to learn from the run.

not my idea of a chaser, i would oppose against decent opposition. couple serious blunders and with any pressure on him he'd have been vulnerable but all he could do was win so wd to him. liked him a lot as a hurdler. big alan king fan too!

I thought his jumping was indifferent but to me he never looked like falling so has a good sense of self preservation. I didn't see Celestial Halo's race but from what I've heard he displayed no such sense. I certainly agree with Mr King that another low key race will help the horse with its chasing education.

Sorry Catch Me I was playing Devils Advocate a bit - and anyway final times are not always over-relevant: I hadn't actually watched the race either at the time of my post but have now looked at the re-run.
No he wasn't the greatest at his fences, but they didn't hang about - if you put him and Wessex King in the race the following day with Stagecoach Pearl (allowing for the different ground) then I reckon Medermit would have been around five lengths in front jumping three out when WK fell. But that is at least what you would expect from a 155+ rated hurdler. As you say, Aintree is not the easiest of jumping intros and I would be wary if nto was at Chelt.
