About 4-6 weeks ago.

I Liked this one for fences aswell ftm
Report ftm October 12, 2010 5:19 PM BST
hopefully we will know more after saturday abbott.
Report Albion Dan October 18, 2010 7:26 PM BST
What did people think of his run? Seemed to travel nicely then blew up a bit when hitting the last.
Report 3132 October 18, 2010 8:25 PM BST
I was quite disappointed after Ruby's comments....perhaps he needed the run as some of Nicholls tend to do.
Report Albion Dan October 18, 2010 8:30 PM BST
Have Ruby or Nicholls said anything about his run do you know?
Report Diamond_Joe_Quimby October 18, 2010 10:13 PM BST
Found Nil off the bridle. One to oppose imho

no superstar, possibly doesn't want to know.
Report tweedledumbtweedletwat October 20, 2010 6:02 PM BST
i think he was beaten by a very good horse.
Report bigben October 20, 2010 8:03 PM BST
Agree with the above post, he"s definately one to keep an eye on.
Report Masterminded October 20, 2010 10:34 PM BST
will be a good season for the tizzard stable imo..
Report norfolkngood November 2, 2010 8:51 PM GMT
I see in the RP stable tour on Monday that Ghizao could next run in the novice chase @ the PP meeting, does anyone else think that this horse could end up being Nicholls arkle horse ?
I think that he was beaten fair & square by Kilmurry on the day & that horse looks very good but Nicholls seems to think there may be a fair bit of improvement to come from his horse it could be a good rematch.
Report chief dan November 2, 2010 9:14 PM GMT
i think kilmurry looked a horse going places jumped for fun and quickend like a good horse, even if ghizao did blow up its hard to see him turn that round as kilmurry gave him bout 8 pounds an 11 length beating fair an square im on Kilmurry at 33s for arkle best novice chaser out so far this season imo but still early days
Report Albion Dan November 15, 2010 3:47 PM GMT
People on the Arkle thread still dont seem to like this one, despite his run yesterday...
Report tweedledumbtweedletwat November 15, 2010 7:33 PM GMT
well whatever beats it will win the arkle imho
Report buddeliea November 15, 2010 7:53 PM GMT
Whats not to like? Jumped well, travelled well and quickened nicely at the end.Looked ok to me,still early days but not seen anything better thus far.
Report ftm November 15, 2010 8:02 PM GMT
fair play to nicholls...he said the horse would improve tons for his first run
Report Albion Dan December 29, 2010 12:07 PM GMT
People going to take him seriously yet?
Report Alvarado December 29, 2010 12:19 PM GMT
na ground beat captain chris
Report tweedledumbtweedletwat December 29, 2010 6:55 PM GMT
captain chris jumps right handed, never a good habit at cheltenham imho.
ghizao gave them 10lb today and thrashed em,what more does it have to do?
has had 3 runs over fences this season and improving with each run, also 2of those runs were at chelt gaining experience whilst other novices cant get going due to the weather.
nicholls must be laughing his socks off
Report bring on chelt!!! December 29, 2010 7:38 PM GMT
ludicrous reaction from some bookies...4's in a place!!!! Anyone who takes that must be bonkers. Arkle and a bet placed at less than 10's is not a classic cocktail. He was good so in with a shout if you ignore his first run
Report Alvarado December 29, 2010 10:22 PM GMT
agree but hes trained by nicholls so theres always an over reaction much like hendersons
Report 3132 December 30, 2010 9:46 AM GMT
Heading straight to the Arkle according to Andy Stewart in RP today....Timmy Murphy thinks horse has further improvement in him.
Report johnny jojo December 30, 2010 3:47 PM GMT
4s is a fair price given the fact nothing else has done anything thus far also this new 2m4f novice race may water the field down worthy fav imo
Report 3132 December 30, 2010 3:51 PM GMT
Near impossible to bet Ante-Post for the Novice Chases with the new race added this year.
Report johnny jojo December 30, 2010 4:00 PM GMT
6s available on ghizao best price. next in betting finians rainbow big danger imo then u got medermit, royal charm, mikael d hagugenet all not certain to line up then ur back at the likes of captain chris who is 25s. not a lot of depth in this arkle field atm
Report johnny jojo December 30, 2010 4:02 PM GMT
where as ghizao is a certain starter barring injury the more i think about it 6s is a good price as captain chris will surely pick up a minor novice chase boosting the form
Report Hussard December 30, 2010 5:12 PM GMT
I don't think there is any over reaction to this horse. I actually feel he is under-hyped.

As I stated on the Arkle thread. Go the sportinglife website go to racing and then video form. Watch his Cheltenham win and then listen to the interview with Paul Nicholls.

6/1 is too big and he will be 7/2 come the big day.
Report Albion Dan December 30, 2010 8:05 PM GMT
I think he is underhyped too.  I stated on the arkle thread I had a little tickle on him after his first run, and was shocked noone took him seriously after he battered the best novice field of the season so far, yet everyone was clambering over themselves to back Finians.  IMO those people missed the fancy prices on Ghizao, but are on 33s etc for Finians, so didnt want to believe Ghizao was a genuine contender.
Report buddeliea December 30, 2010 8:15 PM GMT
they are both genuine contenders, the only 2 at this stage it seems.dont think we will know which is best till the day of the arkle to be honest.till then we can have fun supporting our bets.
i personally think that FR is a classier horse and will prove it in march, but accept i may be wrong, time will tell,as always.
Report Albion Dan December 30, 2010 8:38 PM GMT
I agree Budd, FR looks to have a lot of potential, it just bemused me a bit that after G's 2nd run people were putting comments like "no arkle winner there" etc. He may not win the arkle, but he has been the most impressive up to now.
Report buddeliea December 30, 2010 9:03 PM GMT
like you say,its probably people talking through their bets, dont think Ghizao can win cos i aint backed it,cant have FR cos i aint backed it.Thing is those that have one of these at big odds can still back the other, and at this stage if the did they look like having a winner!!
I have FR at prices around 30,nowt to stop me backing Ghizao at some stage,if i feel like it.
Report Albion Dan December 30, 2010 9:25 PM GMT
Yes I may have to have a saver on finian's ha.  Have Medermit at 22 aswell, but my enthusiasm for him has tempered some what recently.
Report coke.ed December 30, 2010 9:49 PM GMT
Grin
Report abbott December 30, 2010 10:14 PM GMT
hussard he most probably will be 7/2 on the day as there have been a lot of high class dissapiontments this season in this market.
I liked him at the start of the season as I said on this thread havnt backed him yet but also dont think I will be. As with most horses this season they havnt beat much due to the lack of racing and I dont think his form merits his price.
Report Slabster December 30, 2010 10:17 PM GMT
Realt Dubh must be a major player after today's win.
Report Hussard December 30, 2010 10:26 PM GMT
Abbott - You still doing the Glasgow preview ?? I hope to be about for it this year.

Could you mail me I'm on gmail.com with same id just gmail instead of hotmail.
Report It's Me SANDER C December 31, 2010 12:59 AM GMT
REALT DUBH is 25/1 with hills i'd put it a long way behind Ghizao at this stage, looked a poor race today. I'm on F R big time so not scared by anything so far
Report Brooksielad January 4, 2011 12:25 AM GMT
Realt Dubh on a form line with Loosen my load is bang there with Ghizao
Report ftm January 4, 2011 6:09 PM GMT
what form line is it?
Report R Carver January 4, 2011 8:33 PM GMT
Ghizao beat Loosen by about 10 giving 6; Realt beat it about 10 off levels at Leopardstown.
Report R Carver January 4, 2011 8:33 PM GMT
Sorry, that shhould have said Ghizao was receiving 6 from Loosen.
Report Mayweather January 5, 2011 12:18 PM GMT
Realt Dubh will not be good enough to win the Arkle. I do not rate that Novice Chase in Ireland. I'm sad to say Mikeal D'Haguenet is not the same horse as he was, you could see that on his seasonal debut against Jessies Dream. He seemed to be travelling funny between the last two fences. Loosen My Load runs well fresh that's why it got closer to Ghizao that it did Realth Dubh plus Ghizao needs plenty of races. If Ghizao raced Loosen My Load now he would 40 length him. The English will win the Arkle this year in my opinion.
Report Gashboy13 February 13, 2011 11:34 PM GMT
Despite the 4 above him being tight, the money has all disappeared for Ghizao...
Report geton February 14, 2011 2:45 AM GMT
yep i just saw that as well gashboy.

a little worrying especially with some of nicholls scoping dirty recently.

could well have had a setbackSad

guess we will know more tomorrow but will watching the market closely
