8/9 - 1 is my idea of a good bet for the champion. I think the horse looks something special and should not have too much to worry about from the horses that raced last yr in the champion or the arkle.

i love twist magic but think tataniano would take some beatiung in the tingle on good ground . get out infront and jump at pace much like twist last year .

I like Tatatiano and think his Aintree win was sublime. His jumping looks so slick. I would not take a short price for him at Sandown as I think in some respects his jumping style may be too slick for that venue.

Good question Child, but i would be surprised if he didn't, different owners, done it before. Tatatiano's run surely just ground (not opposition) dependent

i dont understand that comment re hes slick jumping may be too slick for sandown...surely it couldnt be too slick ?

my favourite race of last year was twists run in the tingle creek . obviously the others strugled on the ground but him and ruby have a fantastic relationship imo . the way he jumped that day was impeccable. theres nothing like seeing a top 2 mile chaser go round sandown and jump the railways . wouldnt want tataniano to run in the haldon personally me ide go straight for the tingle creek as long as ground decent

ftm, i just mean he gets so low over them. I know we dont want a 2 miler blooming his fences, and slickness is the key, but i formed the impression at exeter last yr that he gets very low and it just is in the back of my mind that one day it could be his undoing.

I think Tataniano's jumping over the railway fences may well prove irrelevent. If he is so ground dependent, he's going to struggle in the Tingle Creek, with the ground being very soft there for the last two seasons at least.

Don't think that makes any sense R Carver. Sandown has always favoured fast & fluent jumpers and the fences are nothing like as big as the ones at Aintree. The challenge of Sandown has always been the way the fences come in groups close together, making fluency at an absolute premium. Liverpool is more a case of survival, the mildmay fences are formidable.

Barry, yes, i agree much of that, the liverpool fences -infrequently used- are traditionally very stiff. so is sandown, and those fences down the back come quickly. i know what i am saying probably wont be accepted by everyone, i just registered when i watched him last yr that he got low and one day it might catch him out. of course i know any horse, any day, is capable of any type of fall. i think if you make a mistake at sandown its harder to get back into a rhythm. plus, if the ground is soft, i would less inclined to fancy him. i have no doubt he is top class, his jumping is slick. lets see who turns up to the tingle creek. the horse i fancy for the race doesnt look like runing.
