When i spoke to WIll Kennedy a few weeks back, he said he thought he was going to start off in one of the novice chases at the Open meeting. I'd imagine the 3 miler that Petitfour won last year.

TIME FOR RUPERT, runner-up to Big Buck's in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle, will go novice chasing this season, trainer Paul Webber has revealed.

Webber hopes Time For Rupert will be ready to make his chase debut at Cheltenham's Open meeting in November, despite the six-year-old not yet jumping a fence at home.

Speaking at Stratford on Tuesday, Webber said: "Time For Rupert is in great from and we hope to start off in mid-November at Cheltenham.

"There's a two and a half mile novice chase on the Friday [November 12] or a three mile race on the Saturday. He's not schooled yet due to the fast ground but seems very well and may go to a racecourse a couple of times before his first run."

Owned by the Littlecote Racing Partnership, Time For Rupert was successful at the Grand National meeting in 2009 and stepped up on that form to record a win and two seconds from three runs at Cheltenham last season.

"In a dream world he would end up in the three mile race at Cheltenham in March [RSA Chase]," Webber added.

"There's a new two and a half mile race this year and that may filter some of the opposition away from the three mile race. He jumped baby fences last year and always jumped hurdles so well."

Only just seen that
