Stay in Bristol, Premier Inn beside Templemead station,  around £40 per person sharing per night, only 40 minutes on train & if you want to stay in Cheltenham for a few hours after racing for da "Craic", late train, approx 10.30 pm, if I remember correctly, or if you get pished £100 taxi!

I may do Gazo but it's that lot that's left me in the lurch.Stayed with them for the last 4 years and because (i can only guess) i had to leave early due to a family berievement this year, they haven't got back to me for next festival tim.I know it doesn't give me the right to continue to stay with them but before leaving i asked about next year and the lady said no problem.....Now........i've got 1..........nowhere to stay Cry

Two options where you will definitely get accommodation in town.  Numbers easy to find on intrnet.

The Central Hotel.  If no space there, Antony has plenty of bedsit accommodation available in the town.

So Cheltenham.  Run by a lovely lady Faye.  Lots of rooms in private houses.

I will second that. The quality of accommodation offered through her site is excellent. Costs about £65 pppn which is fantastic value compared with the hotels. Most properties are within walking distance of the town and track.

www.cheltenhamtours.co.uk seems to be the best value around and has a number of different packages, whether you are looking to go for the whole week or just a couple of days. Good luck!

I cant recomend Liz enough. We pay 1k between 4 of us for a spacious 3 bedroom house 5-10mins walk from the course.
There are 4 of us that go 2 have a room to themselves and the other 2 share.
Nice wooden decked garden for breakfast living room with sky 40inch flat screen and lazy boy couches and a small supermarket 5mins walk the other way. couldnt ask for anything more.

Other than a few winners ;)
