Good few years back (99) on Celtic Giant of Len Lungo's in the Fulke Walwyn/Kim Muir Amateur race.

Bet it at 33's and 25's...Bruce Gibson sent it out in front and was 30 lengths cleat at one point. Came home well ahead of the field.

Bet it at 4's to win small Novice Hurdle one day at Ayr (Fri of Scottish National meet) from memory and watched for it after that.

Oh Katchit, Katchit / Tidal Bay double. Won me so much money I tears were streaming down my face. I'll never forget it. Ever.

Was going to write Exotic Dancer, but the horse that really knackered my Festival antepost doubles & trebles that year (2007) was Ashley Brook falling at the last fence in the Champion Chase. Had he just stood up and finished 3rd I would have won a significant amount - but he didn't.

My biggest winner was SPIRIT RIVER last year, with BUENA VISTA a close 2nd.

Buena Vista wouldn't be far behind for me, 2 years in a row.

Forpadydeplasterer - Arkle Chase (backed him at all rates starting after he ran in the old Royal and Sun Alliance Hurdle when beat by Fiveforthree)

Denman - Gold Cup (bet him a year in advance of the race and just kept putting more on)

Denman - Royal and Sun Alliance Chase (had biggest horse bet ever on him in this race)

Moscow Flyer - Champion Chase (bet him big both times, also bet him big the year he unseated too)

Weapons Amnesty - Royal and Sun Alliance Chase (good ground, 3 miles, he was a good thing, because he was getting beat on soft ground in Ireland the price stayed nice and big)

Forpady 2 years ago,me and the missus opened PP accounts and whacked the free money on him....screamed the pub down, Im sure she nearly fainted and within a couple of minutes had the money spent!

Collier Bay in the CH. Backed at 20/1 ante post and again on the day. I backed the Supreme winner £5 at 25/1 that day to give me some more ammunition for CB. Ventura Canyon denied me an opening 3 race treble by beating Arctic Kinsman in the Arkle.
Biggest flat win was Piccolo at 33/1 in the Kings Stand. I had it in an each way double with Venture Capitalist at 50/1 in the Wokingham who was fourth. I stood to win £18k on the win double but still cleared over £1000.

Oulart in 05 £100 at 16s.
Also remember Trainglot winning coral cup and Nahthen Lad the Sun Alliance both big wins.
Cool Dawn was very special to at 25s

most enjoyable was inglis drever first win 6/1,stood infront of best mate stand shouting at everyone to buy my shoes(which i had in my hand),then heard and inglis drever is coming between them,didnt watch run in just celebrated in  front of stand with my shoes in the air.

the shoe think was - someone in our party asked me what do you fancy in this and i told them to put every single penny they had on them on it ,then said - in fact sell your shoes and put that on it - it will not loose.

so the shout ,sell your shoes,
was enshrined into folklore.

when youneverwalkalone won ,in a club with all the orish and D.J put it on and all the club singing it ,like anfield on a euro night.

DANOLI was a big orish winner,all of oreland was on.

i had 600 quid double one man 7/2 in the queen mother and florida pearl in the RSA chase 11/8, took all the boys out that night meal and pi$$ up, must be a few years ago, think i was 19.

Chance Coffey a/p Coral Cup at 33/1, think it was 1995. At least 20lb in hand and trainer PF O'Donnel was reported in the Racing Post as wheeling the contents of his bank account around to the bookies. Irish horses haven't been so well handicapped since. In the Racing Post the next day winning jockey GM O'Neill said "if you thought that was good wait until you see Imperial Call next year." Backed that at 40/1 for the Gold Cup. Halcyon days.

£1,345.50.  As per all gamblers I could easily have had Cappa Bleu in that too (but admit I would have put a couple more in and would have made it a 144 x 30p acc .....and I guess we all do these bets more in hope than anticipation).  Had £40 at 11/2 and £30 at 6/1 - so a very good day.

2 days in a row. 25 win singles and 25 win double on hardy eustace and spot the difference 7/2 and 4/1 then following day same bet on trabolgan 5/1 and moscow flyer 6/4 and few other single bets, took home 1000 both days, give or take 50 quid or so

2003 Backed Moscow Flyer (1st QM) Best Mate (2nd GC) Sept 2002 Ante Post to win £800 was a big win for me those days - the value in ante post backing wasn't too bad back then.

Oulart won me around £6k - it was actually 2005.
Met an Irish friend bfore racing who told me they had to stop the horse in his race at Clonmel around Xmas, Dessie was expecting around 11st for the race and he got in with 10st 1lb I think, from the moment the weights came out the Irish plunged in.

I said 2005 about Oulart, I remember it was my only winner that day on my first visit to Cheltenham. I backed Kicking King the next day.

was playin a draw come the last race in 2009 so decided to go out in a blaze of glory. Had £100 on oh crick at 8/1, boy did i cheer that one home.

Best Mate won me 60k when winning his 3rd Gold Cup also combined with Azerty. If Rooster had his usual kick to beat Hardy would have been another 100k in a treble antepost all placed nearly a year before the Festival.

had him doubled him up with sir percy to win the 2000g at 33's to win about 30k ! which would've been a biggest win ever  had it not been for the nutty but talented george washington ! ( had to back GW on the day having seen him in the paddock behaving so all was not lost)

Rogers Princess was my biggest individual winner.

Backed three horses in tote dual forecast in Top Cees race - had first, second and last: DF paid £300+

Agree Nature boy that Thurs and Friday were great for me also culminating in Denmans Gold Cup win...

Nothing major, but think it might have been Spirit Leader at something like £40 win @ 10/1, in the 2003 County Hurdle. Just got up in the tightest of finishes.

Binocular by a mile. EW in the Supeme. EW in the Champion Hurdle when 3rd and backed him at all rates all year for the Champion Hurdle. Not at 1000 unfortunately.

Moon Racer last year! My friend and I try to pick one horse in January each year that we will back in doubles and trebles, and in small singles each week in the build-up, in the aim that we both have the same one horse that could win us a really decent amount. Last year is the first time it's ever come off!

Big bucks... More than once I might add when he pulled me back from the brink lol in total I would say he won me about £2000 in profit over his 4 wins! And here comes punchestown.... Swat! And here comes time for Rupert... Swat! And here comes grand crus... Swat and lastly voller la vadette the last one especially was was very sweet! What was more amazing is that he went off near evens for the last 3!

This is an aftertimer's paradise fred. Albertas Run and Imperial Commander up there but Cue Card far and away with two wins and a without the fav. Hoping he's going to extend that record. Honourable mentions for Long Run and the Pigeon.

Likewise War Of Attrition(gold cup) £300 @ average of 12.0ish on here.
Fav Beef Or Salmon didnt have a prayer on the quick ground.
