Report Joist September 15, 2010 12:09 AM BST
Ah, Quevega did me a favour on an otherwise quite horrific day's punting this year. Could not begrudge her victory wherever she went. :)

Love to see Kauto Star come back to cheltenham and serve us up a treat like he did in 2009 then on to retirement after it.

think Cheltenham would be unbelievable if this happened and the noise this would make would be something to behold.

The Captain for me too...love that horse...would have set me up for a year if he had won this year...got stake back at Punchestown and more....cant help but want to see Peddlers extend its legs too in Chamion

Anything BUT Kauto or Denman if Cheltenham do that patronising and dismissive 'scarf marketing' campaign again.

Would love to see both the Captains - Cee Bee & Chris win their respective races.

I guess if it was just the one horse though, it would have to be Denman, regarding everything he has been through and this could well be his last year.

Peddlers Cross - Champ Hurdle
Mikael D'Haguenet - RSA Chase

(well maybe give Denman a swerve on that)
Report Wayward Lad September 16, 2010 2:05 PM BST
Not many people saying why they want a particular horse to win next March. Come on peeps, express your feelings!
I would like to see BIG BUCKS win a 3rd World Hurdle as he repaid my faith in him after winning the Cleeve by winning his 1st World Hurdle at the amazing odds of 6/1 (thank you Big Bucks). But more so as his owners, the Stewart family, are very sporting and very supportive of the jumps game. It would also present the dilemma of whether to go for a 4th World Hurdle or attempt a go at the Gold Cup in 2012.
But if either Kauto Star, Denman or Imperial Commander run up that hill to win another Gold Cup there will be tears in my eyes.
Report Quvega September 16, 2010 2:46 PM BST
If either Denman or Kauto could win another Gold Cup I'm sure it would reduce many grown men to tears, for me the most emotional would be Denman, after all his problems coupled with his never say die attitude there is something about him that connects with peoples imaginations and feelings. 'Thar you go' WL, emotional enuf for you Laugh
Report CVByrne September 16, 2010 3:30 PM BST
I want kauto to win another gold cup because he deserves it. The greatest horse of his generation deserves three gold cups.

Hurricane fly because I think he is special horse and injury had plagued him for the past two seasons. It would be great to see a such a talented horse I've followed since his first run win the champion.

Denman because he is one of my favorites, if kauto can't win then I want it to be Denners. Really love the courage. Last years Hennessy win is my favorite race of all time.

And wee Katchit because of his champion and triumph wins. Love wee Katchit, heart of a lion.
Report RyanWe September 16, 2010 3:47 PM BST
Anyone else gutted that Denman isn't running in the Hennessy this year? I just can't help feel it won't be the same without him in it Cry Last year's win was probably my favourite performance I've ever seen.
Report Lee_SHA September 16, 2010 4:30 PM BST
I have followed Denman throughout his career and he's without a shadow of a doubt my favourite horse of all time.

The guts, the determination, the run he put in after his illness to finish behind the brilliant Kauto in the '09 Gold Cup, last years Hennessy off top weight had me choked to tears (I doubt I'll ever see a race like that again ever), the sheer brute force of his galloping, that jump at the cross-fence second time around in the Hennessy, the way he put it up to a brilliant Imperial Commander in this years Gold Cup and finished miles clear of everything else, I could go on and on and on.

Denman Love

Oh and What A Friend because I have watched the horse progress for a while and I liked the way he put it up to Denman in last years Hennessy (I know he was receiving a lot in the weight). He's still relatively a youngster and it was impressive the way he followed up that run with two Grade One wins. I just like the way he holds himself, almost seems dopey but very likeable and obviously capable.

Heart - Would love to see voy por win one more at the festival though it aint gonna happen.

Head - Big Bucks winning a third WH although i doubt he would beat the reception Inglis got for his.

Finally, Binocular because i,m large on him already in doubles with the first legs up !!

I was a fairly late convert to Denman.(backed 4 aces &according to john in the RSA)
But boy backed him in his first hennessy & when he won the gold cup i was in tears.
Loved his bulldozing style.Thought he had it this year coming round the turn.beaten by a true champion mind.
So yes it would be Denman, though i cant see it.....

Pady the plasterer, wonderful attitude ,love to see him beat MM.

What a friend,  Feel he is good value  although saying that i think 11-2 for the commander is a very fair price.

I would also love to see Kauto Star retain his gold cup.

I'm so lucky,  was all over him last season at the festival, came knowhere and then went on to beat twist magic at sandown(i missed out that day).

I would also like to see Get me out of here win.  Was all over him last year when he was narrowly beaten by hobbo's Menorah.

Denman,no doubt about it.

To see him demolish a top field with massive leaps and that relentless brutal gallop, powering up the hill into retirement would  be without doubt the ultimate "not a dry eye in the house"moment a race meeting has ever seen.

Kauto would be great to but i feel that this superb animal has most likely peaked, and whereas Denman may have lost a little, but if he's primed and fit who knows....
