If returning from injury with all his ability intact fit and well is a huge price on previous hurdle form,not too bad over fences either.
In very open looking year with doubts over some of the market leaders Master Minded regressing,Sizing and Forpady allegedly going up in trip. Big Zeb is still one to beat if jumping holds up?

I was really keen on him for last years Arkle at the start of the season, but he just didnt look to be a natural over fences to me.

What Howdi and dananders said - hope he's fit and connections continue to hype him, not a layer but would make an exception for him (obviously depending on the opposition).

Meant to state WAS a huge price on here 100s and bits,had few shillings at 70 and 65 just too big in very open race,with few at top end of market going over further? Big Zeb much bigger on here than with high street books one to beat again.

and I should've stated prepared to lay him depending on the opposition and his price!
Just think he's one of those hype horses whose reputation outweighs his ability and achievement. Was saying same about Binocular this time last year, mind (I was n't the only one!). Would n't be surprised to see CAJ back over hurdles either. |

He ran a cracking race in the 2009 Champion Hurdle - not at all over-hyped imo but having done my money on him ante-post for the Arkle, I won't be betting him again. In my experience, once horses start getting injuries, (Cap Cee Bee a good example), they're best left alone as ante-post propositions.

think he was poorly campaigned last season too - well beaten by Tchico Polos and Somersby at Sandown, they then pitched him in against the experienced chasers instead of finding a more straightforward novice chase option for him.

Having watched his early novice chases, I had an idea they might put him back over hurdles so had a bet for the Champion on here at humungous odds. As already stated, he ran a cracker in the Champion as a 5 yr old, so would have had a chance with another year on his back. Wasn't to be with the injury but worth a shot imo.

Agree Rease re last seasons campaign,think 1st time out maybe time to cash in on him,if injury has not set him back as not too many come back to previous form?

Not sure last ys QMCC was a wonderful renewal, and it remains to be seen how last yrs novices get on this yr, but i could not have CAJ starting now. Feel he was badly flattered in the 09 champion, running past beaten horses. The front 3 crawled up the hill and its evident binocular was nowhere near fit (due to the snow).

I agree with much that's already been said about CAJ - your throwing away good money having an antepost on him. Will probably run in the County Hurdle in 2011.
