Love this hoss. 3rd time lucky with my ap bet on him.
|
By:
Will be the best horse in the race but not an AP betting opportunity for me.
|
By:
Lovely horse....but you couldnt bet with any confidence he'll make it to Chelt with horses injury record.

The horse is made of balsa wood, any A/P money on it is madness.

If HF and Bino both turn up fit and well in March,we could well have the best since Istabraq, certainly possible.
|
By:
Binocular my arse
|
By:
Bino will be a different horse in March, but Peddlers Cross is now a big threat to all.

|
By:
Great win and I just hope he gets to Cheltenham in A1 condition this time.

Willie was talking about Irish Champion next....then hopefully we might see him at Chelt.

Will murder Menorah, Binoc and co.. Flying machine |
By:
Without any shadow of doubt the absolute worst favourite for the festival, possibly ever.
Crazy crazy fav imo. |
By:
Wins CH on the snaff, what a hoss

Most noticeable was how one paced Solwhit looked one and a half lengths back. Voler La Vedette just one and three quarters back in third. Solwhit no chance in a Champion Hurdle. Hurricane Fly loved the soft ground today being a Montjeu and travelled very well on it. All of Mullins very fit today as borne out by the results. Over-reaction in price as the faster Festival ground against horses with gears up the hill is a different world to the one paced animals in todays race ... nonetheless couldnt have asked for more on his return.
|
By:
Thing is, faster ground and faster pace will suit him better as well.
|
By:
Dont agree, think he loved the ground today but how one-paced did Solwhit look ... Menorah would have laughed at him there. Great race coming up with the main 4 protagonists all looking good.
|
By:
eric_morris your making out Hurricane Fly is slow? This is a horse that made Go Native look like a snail in their novice days. N Go Native made a fair few look slow last season one of them being a champion hurdle winner. :S
|
By:
How am I ? I said Solwhit looked very one-paced and he did. I also said HF loved the soft ground which he did. HF travelled very well but he will need to finish much faster than that on quicker ground over a shorter trip to beat Binocular, Menorah, Peddlers Cross and the like. Solwhit looked a slow old boat today.
|
By:
HF's neck defeat of Solwhit over just 2m on good ground in April accentuates the importance of the ground to him imo.
|
By:
lets be fair it looked a testing 2 and a half miles and for a horse having his first run this season against quite a few fit horses i think he did it well enough picking up a very game solwhit, pretty sure that form stands a little higher than beating bothy in the greatwood imo how slow did Menorah look there?
|
By:
Do you believe Solwhit will be in the first 6 in the Champion Hurdle?
