Latest data released by CastleCasino.com reveals success rate of online casino players across the 50 largest English regions.

CastleCasino.com, an online casino that specialises in live casino games, has released figures examining the success rate of its online players in terms of average losses per player. The figures show the average revenue the site has made per player, by region, revealing where the most and least successful and online players are by city.

Topping the table is Ipswich, one of the smallest cities on the list, with a population of less than 150,000, and losses of only £147.93 per player on average. The least successful city on the list is Liverpool, a city almost 6 times the size of Ipswich in terms of population, where player losses are more than three times higher, at £482.42 per player on average.

Population size seems to have no bearing on player success rate, with the country's largest cities, Manchester, Birmingham and London, being evenly spread across the results, placing 43rd (£353.20 per player), 29th (£271.42 per player), and 12th (£202.70 per player) respectively.

Interestingly, despite residing in the lowest income region in the whole of the UK, players from Middlesbrough came second in the list with average losses of £479.29, whilst the city with the highest income, London, came 39th with an average player loss of only £202.70.

The top 5 performing cities, where player losses were at their lowest, are:

- Ipswich (£147.93)
- Birkenhead (£160.25)
- Sunderland (£164.10)
- Milton Keynes (£164.12)
- Reading (£166.86)

At the other end of the table, the 5 least successful cities are:

- Liverpool (£482.42)
- Middlesbrough (£479.29)
- Worthing (£431.97)
- Southampton (£423.87)
- Bristol (£417.36)

A spokesperson for Roulette.co.uk, one of the UK's leading online casino authorities, commented: "This is very interesting research, especially as we promote CastleCasino.com on our website. At present the majority of our visitors come from London and Manchester so this data could redefine our geographic advertising strategy. It is also fascinating to see the lack of correlation between average salary and amount lost."

The complete data compiled for player losses in the top 50 is available here:
