Disgusting
Goodbye Boxing |
|

agreed, disgusting decision, nganou clearly deserved that, he was the aggressor the whole fight, landed much harder punches, did a lot more damage and got a knockdown. fury looked very vulnerable and scared tbh in parts. pretty bad effort from tyson but give francis his dues, he looked incredible considering the circumstances. frank warren's face in the crowd was amazing

When you've dominated fighters like Klitschko, then it's fairly something to be dominated back.
Quite amazing performance from Nganou really to turn up in boxing and do that to Fury. Though I suspect Fury just thought he could turn up and underestimated him. |

As usual though, boxing fails on the issue of 'judging'. Even Chess is more of a 'sport' in that respect.

Watched Fury v ngannou.. Fury's days are well and truly approaching the end.. That cant be the best heavyweight on the planet!

Statement from Tyson Fury on the Oleksandr Usyk fight being postponed: "I am absolutely devastated after preparing for this fight for so long and being in such superb condition. I feel bad for everyone involved in this huge event and I will work diligently towards the rescheduled date once the eye has healed. I can only apologise to everyone affected including my own team, Team Usyk, the undercard fighters, partners, and fans as well as our hosts and my friends in Saudi Arabia." |

Another one that will never happen IMO

Interesting betting. Couple of years ago Fury would have been 1.35 ish.
I guess they figure the Ngannou fight indicates he is shot. But he regulary would have the odd awful performance all through his career. Usually switched on when opponent is a danger though. |

fury dad a nutcase

Fury didn't look at all fit to me v Ngannou. Looked like he got a bit complacent there but his titles weren't on the line. Can't imagine he will make that mistake again for Usyk with so much on the line.
A lot of people think it will be a boring fight. Hopefully Fury attacks and goes for the body a bit. |
|
By:
Fury a natural solid 18st 10lbs.. Usyk a pumped up 16st 7lbs.. After carful consideration Fury Cannot lose this fight

tobe he wouldn't have been THAT short a couple of years. But it's not a couple of years ago. It's now. Since then Fury laboured to a close win against Ngannou, who in turn was summarily dismissed by Joshua. Wilder was stuffed by Parker, bringing into question just quite how good that form line is. Usyk has beat Joshua again and Fury is fighting too soon after a cut eye (imo)
Yes Fury wasn't motivated by Ngannou and he's going to me much better and fitter here. Usyk is fighting for his country so no question he is at his peak too, is the better boxer and took Joshua's harder punches. He hasn't fought a big man as good a boxer as Fury though. It's a very hard fight to call imo. But Usyk is the bigger price and given the badly cut eye in training, I think he's the better bet. |
|
By:
There are question marks over Fury's form. There aren't any over Usyk's
|
|
By:
Usyk has not always looked comfortable during fights though - Breidis for example at lighter, some points v Joshua and of course the debateable Dubois issue.
|
|
By:
All of Fury's legacy has been based on 4 fights. 3 against the same opponent.

Totally agree Clyde. Usyk should be favourite, without doubt, so I have loaded up. Looking forward to it

Usyks gonna get battered, Fury always delivers and Delboy should have won against usyk, this time he's outta his depth!

no market for this, but how would you price up Usyk to win on tech decision?
|
|
By:
Isn't it in method of victory?
|
|
By:
Usyk better start to this, my professional opinion is Usyk will win this on points, he's more skilled that Fury who is essentially a fat pillow puncher that gets by confusing dud opponents with silly head movement and feints, Kind Regards.

He didn't win it, but he was winning it earlier with body work that shook Usyk up - if he'd kept that style up I think he would have stopped Usyk.

|
By:
But he didn't, so loses, and should retire IMO.

I had Usyk clearly winning 1/3/8/9by2/10 and Fury winning 5/6. All the other rounds were close, but Usyk was definitely the better boxer over the course of the fight. The eventual scores were much closer than they should've been imo. The judge that scored it 114/113 Fury I guess must have given Fury all the other rounds so 2/4/7/11 and 12. Personally I'd have given Usyk 2/7/11 and Fury 4 and 12 so 116-111
