Because of how well he boxed against Broner? still, he's so old. Thurman should have too much for him, surely?

Pacman has been done since 2012. His main asset was his speed around the ring, and he just isn't that fast on his feet anymore.

He lost fair and square to Bradley and Horn but the media whining about him getting 'robbed' in those fights has somehow kept him in the elite tier, as they are seen as 'not real losses', so that he only lost to the  ATGs Floyd and JMM.

Having him hanging around does nothing for boxing as top welterweights can fight him instead of each other. Thurman should fight Spence. Or Crawford. Spence should fight Crawford. A guy on ESPN yesterday was asked about 'fights you'd most like to see in 2019' and he said Pacquiao v Crawford or Pacquiao v Spence

I'll be amazed if Thurman does not win comfortably, though i am useless at boxing betting tbh

It's partly this, but also because some fans think that Thurman has lost his punch resistance. That is based largely on his comeback fight after a year out against Jose Lopez, though. I'm not sure I agree with that assessment, as Lopez is a very strong and very decent full-blown welterweight who has been in with the likes of Canelo and Maidana. For all his reputation for power, I don't see Pacquiao carrying the same weight of punch as Lopez. He is 40 years old and is nowhere near a natural welterweight. Also Thurmann did not box at all badly against Lopez, although he was rocked a few times. He will be that much sharper this time, and the odds against for a Thurmann win ook very generous to me.

I Watched Pacquiao v Broner... Manny's not fighting like a 40yo here. He's clearly juiced up, Finished the 12th round like he started the 1st.... Just like Lance Armstrong for some people enough is never enough...

Pre fight everything pointed to Thurman (imo) except the weight of money...When Money talks it's rarely lying..

Didn't watch it ? Is Thurman doing a Haye ? Injured, finished, but gonna hang around for the kind of paydays he will never see again otherwise
