What a fantastic fight. Can't wait.

GGG is gonna need a KO he is getting nothing from those judges. Canelo looks suspiciously huge.

GGG late stoppage my guess.

Yeah , Canelo's judges are the best in the business !

I didn't see the Khan fight but everyone was saying Amir won like 4 of 5 rounds clearly and think he got 1 round on the scorecard .

I did watch Canelo v Cotto and Miguel won 3 rounds very clearly imo and there were another 5 you could give either way , scores were like 119-109

If he doesn't get knocked down he wins the round 10-9 is mostly how it goes seemingly.

yeh I watched the khan fight and he def won 3 of the first 4 rounds from what I remember

Possible concern is how easy Kell Brook was landing combinations on GGG

Is GGG not that good at actual boxing , or did he just decide Kell was a pillow fist ?

Thought GGG was a tad fortunate to get the verdict over Jacobs and wouldn't have been surprised if this had been chalked up 5/6 each of two.
More importantly, isn't it nice to get back to the anticipation of what will, hopefully, be a great fight following the Mayweather circus of a couple of weeks ago..

Really surprised at the odds. Thought Canelo would be favourite IMO. I see he's really bulked up for the fight. Wonder how this will affect him?

Thought GGG looked drained. Hope not. Canelo's body change is unreal. He looks in unbelievable shape. I doubt very much that's all natural.

Anyone else see his trainer right after the weigh in stick something in his mouth which he hid with his hand then gave him a drink? Very suspicious.

What about the other nights fights?

This Skoglund looks very big at 10/1 v Smith. From what I've seen of both Smith looks the better fighter but their records are very similar and neither have proven themselves at world level. Skoglund if he gets down to super middle should hit harder than at Light-heavy and with them being similar height Smith won't have his usual height advantage. Market seems to be under rating him massively at that price.

Reminds me of the Super Six when Ward and Dirrell were 16's and 25's to win before it started because they weren't well known.

I'm not a huge fan of Smith, but he will have too much for Skoglund and will probably stop him.

GGg vs Canelo should be a great fight. GGG to wear Canelo down and force a late stoppage, for me. Although I'm covering the draw.

Backing GGG, as Canelo has never fought anyone as big and as powerful as Golovkin. Not staking too much, though, as i just want to relax and enjoy the fight.

4am they can ram it.

Couldn't be less convenient for UK viewers, and most of Europe.

Put most of your money on a Canelo points decision and a saver on GGG win by KO.

It's geared towards the US market where the main PPV market is, what do you expect.

Our main events go off like 10:30pm local time.

Wonder how many buys they are gonna do for a 5am fight with no UK guy to bring casuals in

Good fight there.

Mayweather v McGregor did just over 1 million UK buys for a 5am fight
Mayweather v Pacquaio did about 700,000 UK buys.

As quality a fight as this is on paper, the fight itself is not as attractive as the other two for casuals and that's where fights are sold, even those that don't have a big interest in Boxing will get sucked in if it's hyped well and there's enough time build a narrative, this one hasn't even had a chance to have been promoted that well at all because of the Mayweather-McGregor hype fight completely overshadoweding it.

I'd estimate no more than 350,000 buys.

Would imagine half of those buys wont even be watched with people planning on coming back from a night out to see it, but too pissed too remember and fall asleep, either that or can't be bothered to get up.

Don't see why fights have to be prime time TV in America when the fight is on a Saturday, it would make sense if it was a weekday, I'd have thought you'd still get the same amount of buys over there, unless it's clashing with American sports.

2.9 seems crazy price now for Canelo

Seems to have a solid chin ( albiet V smaller guys so far ) and GGG will likely have to stop him to win.
