Gennady Golovkin and Daniel Jacobs fight Saturday March 18th at Madison Square Garden for the WBA Super World middleweight title. Triple G enters this fight with a 36-0 record that includes 33 knockouts. This will be Golovkin’s sixth fight since 2015, and he’s coming off a September win over Kell Brook.Even as he ages at nearly 35 years old, Golovkin is still clearly the best middleweight in the world and has some of the most powerful shots among active boxers. Golovkin is one of the more effective offensive fighters in recent memory and also has a proven chin that allows him to trade shots and break the will of his opponent.
Daniel Jacobs enters this fight with a 32-1 record that includes 29 knockouts. Jacobs has won his last 12 fights, and he’s coming off a September win over Sergio Mora. Jacobs has been on fire since his 2010 loss to Dmitry Pirog and his won every fight during his 12 straight wins by knockout. Jacobs is a big middleweight who stands in at 6’0” and has a 73-inch reach, and that size along with his punching power makes him a very tough matchup for most opponents. Jacobs is good at getting in and getting out with power shots and has good movement around the ring.

Yex BoxNation...is anyone a bit surprised by the odds here? GGG was about 1.25 to beat brook...and here he is against someone who fights at this weight and is well rated. I think GGG will win of course, but it looks very short to me on here and about 1/10 with the books.

If GGG does ever get beat for sure i agree it's a KO as he gets hit by most if not all opponents.Someday someone will land flush and possibly KO him but i think he would have to move up for that.Mind you a Canelo land would floor him if caught right.
Surely GGG vs BJS next if GGG does not lose ? BJS holding onto belt to get highest price |

Someone will catch him flush eventually, badly rock him/hurt him, it will turn into a war and GGG will be KO'd. it has to happen someday

why hasn't it happened already though. hasn't he had hundreds of fights. when he steps up in weight hopefully someone smashes him and we will see how he reacts...who knows - maybe it will happen this weekend please god

The Eubank plan is probably to make defences of the IBO title until ITV pull the plug

Did he not have to take the gloves of to make weight
 I'm sure this is the fight he had to lost a little weight and no one was even in the crowd really to see this glove stunt.But it made youtube so that was maybe the plan. Basically doing that in the mirror then up loading it would have been enough |
