Trainer lost him that.
By not telling him he was well behind until the 7th. |
|
By:
Surely a fighter of his experience should know how well he's doing!?

By:
Well his face said he didn't.

whoever gave that to quigg should never be allowed near a boxing ring again .... absolute disgrace

|
By:
So he lost the fight because of his trainer?
Walofs. |
|
By:
He lost the fight because he was scared, and then had no choice but to fight and wins the second half

real disappointment, have to agree with super hans. never agree with the big headed trainers that they trained this guy and that guy, he won this and that because of them. it's the fighters that make the trainers. but joe made all about himself, what about telling scott to do the simple things like work behind the jab. Frampton was wide open for the right hand, 2 fighters scared to lose

I don't really get that approach though. It makes sense in say Mayweather vs Pacquiao that fighters would be scared to lose. In a fight like this, unless both fighters are totally deluded (which tbf they might be) they should realise that they're unlikely to get a bigger stage than this to show what they've got. Instead neither really made you want to see them again, and Quigg will probably be back fighting on undercards by the end of the year, and Frampton back relying on his hardcore Irish support.
With British boxing on a high, it's coming more important than ever to stand out in some way, either through exceptional performances or being a good talker. Otherwise your opportunities and access to that "PPV money" are going to be limited, as there's lots of other choice for the fans to latch on to. |
