I'm fully convinced Brook isn't recovered. Only prob is that it should be Kevin Bizier in there with him this week, as Dan got a total robbery in their fight as far as I'm concerned, funnily a point which I don't think has been reported by a single mainstream media outlet.
By:
In the second fight? I don't think I saw that I thought he deserved the first one though it was very tight.
By:
Yeah the rematch. Was one of those tight in scoring, but simple to score at same time fights. Bizier swept nearly all the 1st 7 clearly, including putting Dan down in the 7th, then Dan took over but shud have needed a stoppage to get the win.

By:
fair enough.
If Dan is smart enough to get Brook moving a lot in the early rounds that wound is very likely to start throbbing like **** surely. I'd be winging a few low blows bang on the scar too. He probably won't be good enough but there has to be a question mark. |
By:
Is that the correct video?
Its just a scar |
By:
He'd hardly risk the 0 on his record by going into this fight injured
By:
i'd be more worried about the weight gains in between fights and alleged substance issues
By:
It may be 'just a scar' but it's not exactly a nick to the skin is it, it was clearly deep enough to damage the muscle tissue. The point about him risking his 0 going in to the fight injured is moot...it's not a question of whether it's had time to recover it's a question of IF it can ever fully recover.
I haven't backed Dan in the end anyway, I want Kell to win and go on to better things, but until I've seen him get through a good number of rounds without the leg restricting him I couldn't be a Kell backer. |

By:
Wonder what the row was over? Possibly something about a frankfurter sausage being put in the wrong place?
By:
wow.........that is a big ass scar.
Ive backed Brook KO for a good few hundred quid at 5/6 as i think Dan is nothing but a durable punchbag that should out of there by 7 or 8....... Having seen that scar though im a little concerned. A lot depends on the depth but from that we can surelly assume it was reasonably deep. Having had a few serious ligament and muscle injuries and subsequent surgeries myself i cant imagine that that leg is anywhere near fully healed, there's just no way. Ofcourse he will have had the best physio and treatments possible but it looks worse than i thought. Looks to be more to the lateral muscles of the leg though so a lot better than the front part. The story of what really happened to Brook is being very carefully guarded. A friend of mine is friendly with his dad and he cant get out of him the story at all. Seems a lot more to it than we are being told.........anyone know if any arrests made yet? |
By:
Good luck Jimmy, in your favour I guess if it was going to be a Darren barker/nicky cook style fiasco they'd have chosen a bigger fight to cash out on...they must be fairly confident it will be ok.
By:
True alabaster but i cant help but feel he had to fight regardless to be honest. I know that sounds daft but you cant let his star wane too far and also how long before the IBF strip him. He'l win im pretty sure of that but seeing the scar has made me think he might approach the fight differently as he's got a good excuse for not getting him out of there.
You fancy anything else tonight mate? Etches-Khomitsky is interesting, fancy it might go the full twelve at 6/5 and ive yet to reserach Gav Mcdonnells oppo. Think Gary Russell and Charlo are short enough against Gonzalez and Martirosyan. |
By:
Dan looked very soft round the guts at the weigh in. Yafai under 5.5 the bet for me at 5-6. Eddie pulled another light flyweight from the sports barns for Kal
By:
Yeah, that Rosales guy looked like a rabbit caught in headlights at the weigh in sj........he's here as fodder!
By:
Surprisingly there is 4 of his fights in full on Youtube
By:
does he look muck?

Etches doesn't look like an outstanding prospect but no doubting he has power in both hands. Thought Khomitsky was known for fading down the stretch in the past, this one scheduled for 12. Of course no idea how Etches will fare in a long distance fight as well.
End of the day Khomitsky is 40, come down a few pounds (hasn't found at 160 in 3.5 years), and is facing a puncher coming into his physical prime. If Etches doesn't tire I'd think this doesn't go the distance. Etches digs to the body very nicely, noticed Khomitsky hurt a couple times to the body against a weary Martin Murray awhile back. |
By:
Good analysis Horangi. Ive opposed you though mate, on the basis i think Etches will look to pace himself a little with it being over 12. Khomitsky has proved remarkably durable throughout his career and we dont know if Etches is anything special. Good luck with your bets.

Why the **** edward signed 'funtime' I will never know...he never fails to bore the arse off me
By:
I was just thinking that myself, I feel the words ring-rust is going to be used quite a bit in the next ten minutes. great excuse for a terribly boring fighter.
By:
diabolical. Absolutely diabolical. Frankie must know how bad he is to watch and yet he continues in the same vein. The **** needs banning from TV
By:
yeh agree, everytime ive watched gavin ive come close to falling asleep, his opponent landed 12 punches in 10 rounds, wtf is this pish cos its not boxing
By:
how the **** is he going to fill an arena in Brum? He's vile.
By:
Froch telling us all he won a medal in 2001. Thank Carl
By:
Frankie basically saying he was under motivated fighting on sky for the first time in ages, go home and have a curry Frankie.
By:
wot curry?? that lad is on a coke only diet. Super skeete was robbed against him neways
By:
The match maker who made the Skeete fight should have been sent to jail for 3to5 years.
By:
Eddie really on fire in 2015. Cards just get worse by the week.
By:
Surprised this ain't PPV
By:
wot fight is Watt watching with that card ffs
By:
dont think this card is too bad tbh, just shouldnt have shown Gavin.
Evenly matched euro title, Etches fight is very decent, Brook is a solid Mandatory. Now the Newcastle card, that really is desperate. May looks a quality month tho |
By:
It s low quality fair. Keeping in with pretty much the whole year for the UK
By:
This card is making the York hall shambles last night look ok. Etches cud save it. As for the Newcastle joke, i cannot wait to let rip on that
By:
If this is a wide decision to Mcdonnell its a total joke. I'm nt even convinced he's winning this, no idea wot fite sky r watching
By:
116-112 type fight for me
By:
Was McDonnell not long odds on here so hardly a 50/50 fight?
Halling and Watt leading the cheerleading section for McDonnell here too |
By:
Atmosphere is poor too probably cos half the crowd are bored
