Why should the outcome be any different this time around ? It was pretty comprehensive from Stiverne last time out who used his superior boxing skills to clearly outpoint Arreola, and hurt him several times too. Arreola may perform better but I fancy Stiverne to prevail.
I may double him with Geale to beat Macklin in two seeks time.

Thoughts , opinions ?

Have to remember after the knockdown blow Arreloa was damaged goods.  Amazing he fought to the end the way his nose was clearly broken.

Stiverne talented fighter but a little lazy and moves like his feet are in wet concrete.

Report RBoyd86 May 11, 2014 3:35 PM BST
i kno sj thats what im hopng they put him and wilder in together... would be a very big bet ko stiverne
Report RBoyd86 May 11, 2014 3:36 PM BST
ps arreola looked in better shape was fighting well just couldnt hurt stiverne at all... ps have u seen the video of stivernes only loss ??? it was a joke stoppage. he should be unbeaten
Report Horangi. May 11, 2014 4:04 PM BST
I wish Wilder would fight Stiverne, also agree it would be an easy KO for Stiverne.  Probably get a very good price too...

And yeah his stoppage loss was a case of the referee not reading the situation clearly.  For me he has a very good chin.

You guys really think Stiverne beats Wilder easily?

Think Wilder is seen by some as a bit of a circus act but i think thats a little harsh to be honest. Fair enough he's not beat A class opposition but walked through decent guys like Liakhovich and Firtha. I think his physical size and punch power at least gives him a chance against Stiverne.

Do we know if Wilder has ever been down? How did he handle Haye in sparring?

There was a lot to like about Stiverne's performance last night but he's far from proved for me......Arreola wasnt actually doing too bad before he got stung.

Wilder has a true glass chin, the man is the definition of a hype job.  He has not been touched at all in the pro's, its ridiculous how few punches he's taken.
Report RBoyd86 May 11, 2014 10:58 PM BST
i knew he'd been stopped and have big ? marks reg chin. That was first time id seen the clip of him getting ko'd... didnt even look big shots to me and was given lots of time and just didnt recover... stiverne hits him its sleepy time..

Full props to arreola he got hit in first fight and second fight with shots 99 per cent of heavy weights would never of got up from let alone keep fighting...

wilder can bang and im worried stiverne lets him as he sits on the ropes but wilder would have to clock him a  few times at least, stivs got some chin, whereas for me one stiverne bang and its game over wilders not getting up. Been a few fights i think the firtha one was a gd example where jabs and certain punches looked to be having an effect on wilder that really shouldnt be ... i may be wrong but i will be balls deep as i was on stiverne 7-4 at pp!!!

Stervine will wait for Wilder to swing and counter him lights. There is a reason why a yank based fighter is 31-0 and yet to fight anyone. Watch how wild he is with Harrison reminds me of Curtley Ambrose for the WINDIES in his heyday
Report RBoyd86 May 12, 2014 7:09 PM BST
lol gd old curtley lol!!! u lot seen the vid of of wilder on youtube beating someone up in the gym??? Isnt wilder stivs mandatory??? if so the fight will be made? especially now as stiv has been on us tv twice and looked gd???
Report pulio May 12, 2014 7:13 PM BST
tough fight for the bookies to price up, is wilder stiverne.

on the face of it, stiverne has been stopped/hurt and does get hit, is smaller, and wilder brings a 31ko unbeaten record and olympic bronze medal to the table. wilder brings huge size and reach advantages as well.

i can see people backing wilder if he's made the underdog and i can see people backing stiverne if he's made the underdog. its a fight that will polarize opinion. some would make stiverne a 2s on fav, others would make wilder a 2s on fav.

Have you seen the Stervine "stoppage loss? shocking ref
Report Geesyerdosh May 12, 2014 8:40 PM BST
Wilder apparently took an absolute flush monster shot from Haye in sparring, took it well and came roaring back.

Was only sparring though.
Report pulio May 12, 2014 9:11 PM BST
stiverne stoppage was weak but he looked a bit hurt. wilder was a lanky string of piss when he was getting put over. he's bulked up (??) and looks much bigger and who knows how that, ahem, "bulking up" affected his chin. dont get me wrong, im in the stiverne camp but the bookies aren't going to know which way to turn, is my point
Report Jimmy Diamond May 12, 2014 9:19 PM BST
Bookies arent the only one Pulio!

There was a lot to like about Stiverne on saturday and the first fight aswell. Can bang, brings patient educated pressure and is slick enough for a heavy. Wilder is crude, wild and has fought less quality of opponent, even so, he's blown through 31 opponents. Know where the Stiverne fans are coming from but my instinct tells me Wilder would win yet i dont particularly rate him!
Report RBoyd86 May 13, 2014 12:22 AM BST
i mentioned earlier in the post bout the stiv stoppage sj.. was a joke. He was hurt for a sec befire that but he was actually punching and not hurt at all when stopped.

I agree re if the bookies made either man over a 6-4 shot youd have to say they where over priced... it look a con flip 10-11 the pair kind of thing ... however i can see the hype of wilder leading to an early rick by someone its just seeing and getting on it n the 5 mins before its taken down and slashed lol
Report RBoyd86 May 13, 2014 12:23 AM BST
i really do fancy stv to ko him with one shot tho just to clarify.. think we'll see khan bambi legs all over again
