Wouldn't call it a stacked card on Showtime. Sure the last two fights should be relatively competitive but I'm not excited about it in general. The main event comprises of one of boxing's all time disgraces against one of boxing's most embarrassing "world title" reigns in recent history. Really not sure I'm going to be to stomach the buildup to that one.
Porter/Malignaggi somewhat interesting, I expect Porter to be athletically enough to track down and bully Malignaggi. Decent price but Malignaggi's running style is hard to pin down and confidence level isn't sky high. And 30 year old Quillin in typical Al Haymon fashion is in his 10th consecutive tune up fight. Decent fighter but obviously happy to take easy paydays with that clown guiding the way. |

the Manchester card isn't that bad, Munyai is no joke and probably a harder fight for Quigg than Cermeno. Murray - Crolla is a great domestic fight, Callum Smith has a bit of a step up and even Warrington - Munroe is interesting enough. The yanks have a far bigger talent pool and indeed bigger pot of resources so you'd expect their cards to be consistently better than any uk shows.
Betway have just opened up 4/5 Murray, Evens Crolla btw. Looks about right to me. Murray probably too strong but if Crolla does prove tough enough Murray easy to outbox. I'm sure plenty will be chancing Munyai at 10/1, a ridiculous price really and I might even have a tickle on that myself despite being a Quigg fan. |

So betway go 4/5, laddies then open up 8/11 and as if by miracle next 2 firms go up 8/11 also. Tis funny how they all have the exact same line but yet all cudn't hav put it up way back. Compiling by numbers. In such a tight fight u wud think any Boxing trader worth his salt wud hav an opinion 1 way r another.

im really favouring murray to get to crolla? if derry matthews can then murray can the mans a beast at this level. As he showed a poor mans brandon rios (alttho he performed admirably against a hybrid version of himself who missed weight) Crollas always looked chinny to me.. also 4-7 whills from the living legend b hop against shumenov is crazy hes a 1-5 shot in my book? am i wrong?
By:
i saw smewhere that murray n crolla where listed as the same height but just seen a pik of them together with hearn n murrays a bit taller? just think he'll be to much for him n cant see crolla with enough pop to hold him off
By:
Agree if Murray is anywhere near the same he will destroy Crolla who is pretty much a super feather. I'll wait for the Murray KO and the fight not to go the distance price, just in case Murrays face becomes a horrible mess. I rememeber the Atomic Spider from years ago(the Power and Haskins fight)
Funny really, Hearn takes Quigg over as a Interim champ, the boy can barely sell 100 tickets and is fighting cr ap oppo. He accuses Barry of not being able to promote and likens it to him doing root canal surgery. Frampton looks set to fight Santa Cruz either at Ravenhill or in Vegas for the WBC Belt. Oh and the difference between Matchroom VIP and Cyclone VIP is night and day |

what do u think about b hop at 4-7 against shumenov sj? surely even if its close itll go to bhop as they want the stevenson fight? not that i think it will be close humenov isnt gr8 at all from what i saw
By:
8-11 murray 11-8 stoppage not sure which way to go? i think murray will stop him but is there need to be greedy??
By:
Ive had a decent bet on Murray at 4/5. Think if he's still at a similar level (which he is seriously claiming) then he walks through Crolla who is a level below for me.
Think the straight Murray win at 8/11 is still the best bet rather than push the stoppage which for me isnt as good a price. |
By:
i think im going to double it with b hop the double is a gr8 bet for me as they want b hop to fight stevenson n i dont rate shumenov really...
By:
Yeah very surprised BHOP is that big mate. Like you was less than impressed by Shuemenov. But no play for me in that fight
By:
U do have to wonder though, when time is gonna catch up on Hopkins. Is only so long he can get away with fighting 30/45 secs of each round
By:
he fought hard in the murat fight for longer than that and the bloke shumenov fought was tagging him frequently even tho he was outclassed.. the double a big play for me
By:
Think 4/7 BHop is a great price-he knows too much for Shumenov.........this may sound crazy given Hopkins record but i think the 10/1 Bhop stoppage is decent. Hopkins was landing at will last time against Murat and Shumenov isnt exactly hard to it, i could see him getting cut by some Hopkins shots.
The other bet i like which i have backed is fight to go the distance in the Quillan vs Konecy fight. I know Lucas is up a weight but im really not sold on Quillan who was given hell by Rosado last time and couldnt get Njikam out of there despit having him down numerous times. Think he should win a comfortable decision but Konecny who has never been stopped could have enough to survive. Ive took the 9/4 yes to go the distance rather than 5/2 Kid chocolate points...........que Quillan 1st round Ko ![]() |

Beware of the spider - he has the ability to make this a tough night for Quigg and at the prices is worth a nibble.
By:
had a big double b hop n murray works out just over 7-4!! a lot of ppl r saying that about quillin fight going distance and the spider giving quigg problems... if somehow murray doesnt win i think ill be going big big big on b hop best boxing price iver seen in ages!!!
By:
Nothing much for me this weekend, a small double Murray/crolla Not to go the distance and callum smith ko/tko at a shade under 7/4 with paddies.
Smith 1/2 to stop this shopworn middleweight is a great price even allowing it's only a six rounder....they looked about three divisions apart at the weigh in. |
By:
Didn't have the time to go through all the fights but do like Quigg to win by stoppage. Price pretty good I guess because Munyai has been durable in his career. However he has been hurt and down in recent bouts and of course is coming in on short notice. I think Quigg makes an honest effort to win in style to keep his name viable.

By:
Callum Smith is a monster.
By:
well done whoever said c smith stoppage a cert was no prices bar pp unfortunately
By:
LUCKY 15:
B. Hopkins (Points/Decision) P. Malignaggi (Points/Decision) P. Quillin (Points/Decision) J. Murray (KO/TKO) |
By:
Had singles on Murray outright, Quigg points and Quillan points.
Also had an acca, Quillan points, Quigg points, Murray Ko and BHop stoppage...........pays 200/1! ![]() |
By:
That value must be B-Hop alone
![]() |
By:
i need murray n b hop for a small fortune had a great few days. yea b hop 4-7 is monstrous they want teh stevenson match up n shumenov is avergae at best
By:
I've had my only single on B-Hop too, Don't know if i can stay awake for 12 of his rounds though!
By:
im on the wine already lol but i will make it
By:
Yeah Bhop 4/7 is surelly a good thing.......Shumenov looks overated. Honestly think he has a chance of getting his first stoppage since colour tv was invented!!
By:
i think he should be a 1-5 shot
By:
How was Warrington 1.7 and bigger before this fight? Munroe hasn't turned up
By:
munroe stopped by a bloke with 1 ko in 16 shocked...
By:
That's the end of the line for Munroe
By:
That was quite emotional
![]() |
By:
yea hard to watch especially as he didnt reach his dream of a world champ belt, when a bloke he has beat twice has ....
By:
Warrington is a young kid whose strength is improving - i took some of the 1.7 - it was one fight too many for the bin man who looked faded last time out against Selby. i think Quigg will have a tough night.
By:
Juan Garcia Reyes.
Spanish by any chance ![]() |
By:
As I suspected, Munyai not in fighting condition.
By:
fair play to Quigg - was not expecting him to blow the spider away.
By:
munyais 8 legs looked wobbly
By:
not sure how high to rate the performance as a short notice for munyai but still have to be impressed
