Derry Matthews looks a great price against an untried Tommy Coyle. Matthews opened at 11/10 yesterday. I think this fight is all about levels and Matthews has mixed in much higher levels then Coyle. Tommy Coyle has one defeat to his name in the prizefighter last year, apart from this fight Coyle has done very little. Derry Matthews is coming to the twilight years of his career and Coyle has age on his side but I think this may have come to soon for Coyle.
I personally thought Matthews would open at 1/2

I don't bet on Derry Matthews. 8 losses and 7 of those losses by KO, mostly from body shots. I don't think I've seen a fighter more susceptible to going down from body shots. He's probably better than Coyle but a few well placed body shots (coyle is a decent body puncher) and Derry will be hitting the deck. Small bet on Coyle KO for me.
Jim Watt only had him 3 rounds up, I thought about 6

jim watt had him two rounds in front after six.....matthews was battered for the next four and watt said he had coyle three in front....sickening to listen to....totally clueless

aye watt was talking complete tripe, if he was doing radio you'd never have a clue what was really happening.
Coyle's inexperience cost him there. No need to get involved in the last few rounds when well clear
totally correct he was beating him up but all night he'd held off getting involved there he came in and ended on floor. For me early stoppage tho give the man a chance i kno u cant go on how long was left but ...

owe yea he was **** showed a lot of heart to get up im not complaining as such but in the us he'd of got the chance
and with the shaiking ure head i guess thatd be a natural reacting looking at ure corner shaking ure hed knowing it was srtupid being caught liek that, if nything thatd be a good sign for me
I actually think even though he was clearly winning he had felt Derrys shots throughout.
well alabaster i respect your opinions n i think maybe he did but the fight was all sown up thats y he went in i still feel sick lol
