My mate makes Jenkins the fav. I don't know the stats but I don't think the favourites have the best record in this comp.

Watched footage of all 8 guys and Jenkins does seem to be the class of the bunch, passes the eye test for sure. But seeing how he's never been in a real pro fight its hard to be too confident. Plus he's in the last quarterfinal and has what appears to be a tough draw.
q1 Connor v Rice - Rice looks pretty crude, head down plodding forward digging body shots. Connor seems like a decent enough boxer to win on points. q2 Taylor v Tew - Tew coming off his first loss via knockout so who knows how confident he is. Taylor looks a step above him anyways. Taylor points/possible stoppage. q3 Shinkwin v Arif - Arif pretty basic, should be relatively easy for Shinkwin who has decent boxing ability. Having said that I watched Shinkwin get dropped and hurt by a journeyman and he hurt his hand in his last fight so not worth it at these odds. q4 Owen v Jenkins - Watched Owen first and thought he looked like a pretty handy southpaw. Aggressive, sticks out a decent jab and right hook to go along with the left. I think this could be a good watch as both appear to want to engage. Jenkins speed/mobility should be the difference, puts his punches together nicely as well. Small bet on Jenkins and Jenkins by stoppage. Despite the rough draw still favor Jenkins to win this. Ryan Taylor would be my next choice. |

Check that not Ryan Taylor, I'd favour Danny Connor next. I think Connor and Jenkins will be the final.

Obviously read this wrong. Betting does not seem to reflect closeness of fight. Maybe not watching close enough.

Yeah odds heavily leaning to Connor, commentators maybe helping that as well. Guess he won it but pretty close for me, never would be backing sub 1.20 in that final round. Connor for a boxer type is too easy to hit.

Really took my eye of this, 1/10 DCC in last round, had it lcoser, glad I did not bet, really must have gone to sleep during fight...lol.

Taylor should've gotten the first and third. Don't know what this one commentator is talking about thinking Tew could be getting the third. Ugly fight though, sloppy stuff.

Didn't look to clever that's for sure, loading up on shots like an amateur at times. Seems pretty heavy footed, Connor probably can outbox him rather comfortably.

jenkins looks a pretty decent prospect to me,he has a lot of skill.only time will tell i suppose if he can look as good in longer bouts in the future.

Does look a real prospect, seems to have a fighter's heart as well. Only slight for now is the lack of power, but still relatively young can still develop some more pop.
