Another notch on the worst two-time world champion CV of all time. Was hoping the opposition would pick up under Eddie. Early days like but presuming the inner of Crolla-Rees after this? Surely Abril, DeMarco or Molina have to be brought over soon if Broner's not happening.

Absolutely disgrace facing the mandatory who the WBO ordered him to fight. Ridiculous.

You seriously playing the mandatory card? Behave yourself, he was all set to fight Vazquez a few months ago, didn't see the WBO standing in the way of that with Gonzalez. It all of a sudden becomes a must fight mandatory when it suits the promotion. He's rated around 80th in the world for gods sake.

like Burns 15/8 to stop this guy with cut insurance. should be a big gulf in class and Ricky seems to be sitting down on his punches more these days, plus should have plenty of frustration to take out after all the recent aggravation.

From what I have seen of Gonzalez on youtube, he doesn't have a high work rate or fast hands but he can whack. Might be worth a nibble at 5/1.

Not often I disagree with Duke but was he really set to fight Vazquez? Really?

The fight is wank I agree but if the WBO didn't have a problem with Vazquez its because of their relationship with Frank at the time.

Seeing that genius ringside was unreal mate. Leo Santa Cruz is a monster and a good fight in Ponce V Mares. Friday's card featuring the US Olympians was good I was no more than 2 yards from the cornerman could hear everything for $100. Meet Leon Spinks and got some trunks signed by him.
But Cino De Mayo weekend was a pain in the arse full of US businessmen going through a mid-life crisis most of them falling over drunk by 5:30 in the evening.
Gonna be a effort but gonna try and do Macau for Manny Rios

Macau? Jesus that will cost a few quid no?
I was tempted to go over in September for Floyd but looking like no more than a routine win so might save it for next year and hopefully go over to see him school Khan Cool

Bradley-Marquez same night in September mate so nice alternative or even chance to catch both if you head over. I'm sorting mine out now.

Ricky has done well in his career cant understand what is wrong with his CV, Martinez - Katsidis - Mitchell are no bums.He was as pissed as anyone when the Vasquez fight fell through which would have been a tough one btw.
What ive seen of this guy Gonzalez Id expect Ricky to win inside the distance, Gonzalez has a punchers chance, however if he does`nt connect he could be blowing through his cheeks early doors when the Ricksters work rate kicks in.
C`mon Ricky son do Scotland proud once again.

I backed Katsidis, after 30 seconds of the fight you could see that he was completely shot. Excellent match making from Warren, same thing with Mitchell.

The Martinez fight was a really fantastic night for him and his followers but to make a football comparison, it was like his Istanbul. Nobody will argue that was a great Liverpool side, no matter what they won.

Can't have that CV, can't actually believe some on here were saying he might have a chance against Broner. Madness.

How? Described as a 'two-weight king' on Ringside earlier. Got to be fcking joking. The acclaim he receives is a laughable. He seems a lovely lad who had a brilliant night when toppling Martinez, what have you done for me lately?

This from the man who pulls Floyd's record apart Crazy

Remember Katsidis was fav to win the fight with Ricky,if he was shot going into the fight then someone failed inform the odds compilers.
Anyway that aside, Ive gone with the fight not to go the distance tonight at evens.
I think Ricky will prove too industrious for Gonzalez & break him up as he appears so much stronger at lightweight.
Then there`s always the chance that his opponent will connect with a k-o punch, either way i`ll be surprised if this one goes the distance.

I like Burns it's his team. "Ricky isnt mentally ready to fight Broner yet" Jesus christ could you tell us when he is then?
Agree with Mac about fight not going the distance, Gonzalez swings for the houses and if you miss those shots all night it takes a lot out of the tank

Im having a small play on Simpson to stop Choi at 8/1........ Choi's 41 now and didnt impress in prizefighter when i saw him last. Never been stopped but giving it a go here.

That's why I complemented Warren for making the fight against Katsidis, he looked a nightmare on paper. It's not post fight hindsight, he was goosed from the first minute of the fight. Absolutely nothing on his punches, chasing shadows. Ricky Burns didn't beat the same Katsidis that took Mitchell out and floored Marquez. Simple as.

good question, n88. I reckon Gonzo will have to win by at least 4 rounds. Burns being outclassed so far. Looks amateur in comparison.
