Understandable for me. Nothing in paulie's punches, dropped by Cano last time. Easy work I believe the term is.

the build up could be better than the fight
Malignaggi: "I found it ironic to be offered the most money to fight the smallest guy, a guy who has a lot to prove in my eyes. He's been fighting guys who can't fight. So when they offered him to me, I thought it was a joke at first." "I think it will bite his team in the ass and they will feel very, very stupid on June 23." Broner: "Is the weight class ready for Adrien Broner? That's the question," Broner said. '"Paulette' better be in some shape. On June 22, I will be a three-time world champion in three weight classes at just 23 years old. "Malignaggi is a good fighter. He wouldn't be a world champion if he wasn't. He's a [trash]-talker. I'm a [trash]-talker. He backs it up some of the time. I back mine up all of the time. "I never had no beef with Malignaggi, but at the end of the day, it's business. I'll kick his ass, and then we can be friends. If he takes it personal, that's on him, not for me." |
By:
The build up is painful to watch. Broner has carbon copied Mayweathers 'ive got loads of cash' persona and his public speaking is unbelievably bad. Malignaggi couldn't knock my gran out so just sounds like a gimp
By:
"I'm really not worrying about jumping weight classes. You know I know that I'm going to do a lot of great things in this sport and I'm going to do them differently. So with that being said, you will see something explosive.
"He's bringing pillows to a fight that I'm throwing bricks so you should see a lot of blood, a lot of bruising before the referee stops the fight. "I walk around at 147, 150 pounds so I'm at my regular weight. What a lot of people don't understand is you can't really do nothing for power; you're either born with it or you aren't. |

Interested to see how Broner handles the steps up in weight. We all know Pauli cant punch but he has plenty of skills and speed so maybe wont be as easy as odds of 1/12 implies. I think Magic man might hang in there a little longer than most think so will be taking a look at the odds for Broner points or fight to go over 8.5 rounds (or something like that).
The one i like this weekend is Banks to beat Seth Mitchell. Banks won by KO in the first fight and it wasnt no fluke. Mitchell is the hype in this one but Banks brings the skills. Im not solf on Mitchell at all, looks to have a Khan like chin having also been in trouble against Witherspoon. This fight might be a case of first to land but i think Evens on Banks is more than fair. |
By:
Agree with you on Banks Jimbo. Think Broner chops up Paulie, the Cano performance was a shocker
By:
Paulie looks super tense, flapping it at the weigh in there. Can't see any problems with the jump, all the hallmarks that he's on the good stuff Broner.
Like Banks again as well Jimmy, Mitchell's been on the list for yonks, would have got him last time but thought the sad Manny situation might have gotten in the way. What was he 100-30 first fight? Easy to say now but that was tasty. |
By:
No bet for me this time around mind, not after missing the boat, and you would have to worry about Mitchell landing first as you've pointed out. Banks is also vulnerable, less than Mitchell but still vulnerable; Less power than Seth as well. Good luck though mate, would like to see that odd scenario of cornerman taking on fighter if he can somehow get to Wlad down the line.

Malignaggi is going to get stopped, the man is way past his expiration date. I cannot believe he has spouted off some much crap in the buildup, I assume its genuine bravado but perhaps just part of the deal to hype it up. Surely can't be that delusional to believe he has any chance, his commentary work on Showtime seems to suggest he still has his marbles.

By:
broner will defo be one to get at some point as despite being likened to floyd, he doesn't have even half of the skills. Maliganaggi not the man to expose his weaknesses though - about as feather fisted as they come. Even if Paulie outboxed him for 12 rounds (he won't), would you be fully confident of him getting a decision? Broner hype train will be a huge moneymaker in the next couple of years.
By:
Agreed. More worryingly, I don't think he has Floyd's dedications and commitment to the lifestyle. Potential Tyson story.
By:
Broner/Paulie, GGG/Macklin not to go the distance double at a shade under evens my only play. Looks bombproof to me.
By:
considering playing banks early rounds too, Mitchells chin looked well dodgy in the first fight
By:
disagree about next Tyson
Never heard a negative word said about Broners training/commitment and every picture of him he is in immaculate shape. Also strikes me as the kind of fighter who can go up and down weights no problem. |
By:
He's an head the ball Z, his twitter feed's bonkers at times. Loves to party as well but he's young, and hopefully he'll mature out of that.
By:
His twitter feed is complete nonsense at times. I think he's half cut when he posts it but clearly when he is in camp he can't be. He's a potential superstar though and haven't seen anything to think he is cutting corners in his camp
By:
It's how he copes with things once he starts making the serious dough and crosses over though. Every chance of a Naz attitude developing. Really hope not.
By:
Could be right Duke it was definitely the cash that ruined Naz
By:
Mitchell price drifting, not sure I agree. Mitchell appears to have a glass chin but Banks is just as bad. If you watch the first fight Mitchell had Banks in trouble twice inside the first 90 seconds of the bout. Banks cannot take too many of Seth's shots before he crumbles himself. Honestly think Mitchell will be a little more composed this time and not try to press so hard like he did last time out. Not a large play but going in on Mitchell at 2.30's+, I'll guess mid round stoppage.

Anyone stayin up for this?
Think the Mitchell V Banks fight is a genuine 50/50. Whoever lands first... think it will go less than 6, but i'd slightly favour Banks & have had a dabble of Banks 1-6 tko/ko. Just bcoz Mitchell may be a little gun shy here, with Banks destroying him in 2 last time, & with that reasoning i'll say Banks is likely to land first. |
By:
yeah can't see it going past half way. The worry for Mitchell is they didn't exactly look massive clean shots that had him on **** street last time. I've had a tiddler banks within 2 again for an interest.
By:
Interesting fight though - the shocker for me was finding out Banks was actually the YOUNGER of the 2 men!
Mitchell was seen as the prospect prior to the first bout, can't help but think Mitchell has found his level - fringe world class I suppose. |
By:
Was amazed myself that Banks is 30, only found it out yesterday while doing a bit of research.
By:
What have you gone for tonight Duke?
I've had a single on Banks 1-6 Then a treble on Banks 1-6 / Bika Win / Broner 7-12 |
By:
365 doing inplay on the bika fight
By:
^^^^
Maybe worth keeping an eye on that. ![]() Surely Bika has got too much? What you on Alabaster? Other than Banks rds 1-2 |
By:
Absolutely nowt' mate. Just tried to figure a fun multiple out and couldn't manage it. Can't see any likely outcome or value anywhere. Looking forward to it though, really intriguing card.
This lads range could cause Bika all sorts of problems if his ability stretches to Bika's level, he's huge. |
By:
No good for me, about a £1.65 max bet with 365. Cowards those shower!
By:
yeah this Periban doesn't look to have much going for him other than size, seem to remember Bika not very impressive last time though.
Broner/Paulie inside the distance doubled with GGG/Macklin inside my only other interest tonight mate. |
By:
Think Bika will walk straight through this guy....
By:
Super-middleweight has to be the most overrated division. Horrific lack of depth.
By:
Cowards? You wanna try sky bet!
Think my limit is about £8! |
By:
I'm just closed with them, crazy how they can get away with it isn't really.
I got the Mexican just taking the first, Bika struggling a bit with the range |
By:
First round too close to call for me, i'll sit on the fence & go 10/10
Bika takes the 2nd. |
By:
Periban landed a few good shots. Amazing he's fighting for the green belt in his first 12 rounder...only been past 8 rounds twice.
By:
Periban needs to calm down a bit - looks nervous to me. Bit herky-jerky in his style.
By:
It's fcking ludicrous, Andre Dirrell needs to get his act together. 2-1 Bika for me
By:
mid to late stoppage for Bika coming up..........
By:
Bika wants to be a bit more careful moving in though, gets caught clean every time
