I'm really looking forward to this one. Is Ward the real deal?

This should be a very different type of test for Ward compared to the styles of Froch, Abraham and Kessler, each of which suited his game.

I just cant imagine his speed being so effective against a slick mover like Dawson.

3/1 Dawson looks too big.

How do you see this one going?

I see Ward boring his way to a pts decision.

looking forward to watching this but can't see a betting angle, Dawson moving down clouds the issue too much for my liking.

It's all about Matthysse for me this weekend, just waiting for the MOV markets.

I've had a small play on Ward rounds 7-12 @ 12/1. There's not a lot of precedent for fighters successfully moving down against top level opposition and I figure I've got the possibility of a drained Dawson gassing late or getting butted into submission on my side.

Main bet this weekend is Matthysse by stoppage. Had half my stake at 5/4, waiting for the others to price it up before putting the rest on. Don't see this fight being as competitive as some are making out, Ajose has fought precisely no-one and doesn't have the power to keep Matthysse off. Leaving himself open when throwing those wide punches will be fatal against a proven banger like Matthysse. Mid round stoppage for me, Olusegen should have the edge in speed but a matter of time before Lucas catches up with him.

Played fight not to go distance at 5-6. Got heabutt insurance on my side then, and the Vivian Harris fight still concerns my a little. Hope lucas does the business though I quite like concrete head

Dawson makes weight, looked fine to me.  Definitely biting on the 4+ odds, and something on the stoppage for Bad Chad as well.

I agree that there is every chance that this will be decided by a head butt or elbow but apart from that it will be going the distance.

I don't know both guys don't have iron chins.  Ward hits like a girl but Dawson does have some power.

This is 1 of them fights where afterwards people will say, why was Dawson's price so big.

Because people got it wrong, andre's unbeaten, Andre's got a gold medal, Andre's younger.

Andre's at home, Andre's fighting at his normal weight. YUCK, Chad's  simply superior.

Fill your boots.

Certainly can't be backing Ward at 1.27, ridiculous it would seem.  Just worry about how Dawson is going to win.  I really doubt he dominates so he's not going to get the decision and a knockout is a long shot (although betting wise attractive).

Maybe its those rumors of Dawson getting knocked out cold by Miranda in sparring which is driving the odds to seemingly puzzling places.

I expect this to be a very close contest and I am tempted by the draw.

Cant see a stoppage by either man.

Dawson needs to retire.  Glass heart and I'm finally starting to realize even his skill set is not A level.

Judging by what was on display tonight I think those Miranda rumors were true.

Yeah watched it on BoxingGuru, cant believe BoxNation dropped it. Fair play to Ajose but Concrete head brutalized him. Body, head, not just right hand tonight brought the left hook into play a lot. Hoping for Garcia next.
Lost on the Argie V Purdy, lost on Cunningham unders. Backed Adamek Bellew DeMarco stoppage, obviously Lucas fight not to go, and fight to finish rnds 7-12. Vitali fight went a bit mad unders 8.5 10-11 rnds 4-6 7-2 rnds 1-6 13-8 rnds 5-8 9-4(loser) backed rnds 4 and 5 single(s) at 12-1. Think My ladbrokes account might be scrapped

ha ha, nice one. Yeah the argie cost me a fair few quid tonight, had a stoppage acca Bellew, Matthysse, Ward and Carrasco Cry Can't complain too much though, there's always one aint there. Onwards and upwards.

Reinvested a bit of tonights winnings on a Martinez/Chavez, Burns/Mitchell inside the distance double @ 7.5/1. You playing? Really fancy Martinez and Burns to do the business but still a nice price with the insurance.

I'm interested in a few of the undercard fights next week. I've played a little bit on Hernandez for some reason he was 11-10 outsider on the match odds V Troy ross when sporti ngbet went up.
Obviously that camp worry me but you break Chavez's fights down struggling with Rubio the Zbik formline has been smashed to pieces and for some reason people are raving about Andy Lee performance that s Andy Lee who ahd to pull it out the fire against McCewan. I'll probably play the Martinez stoppage and either to win in the 2nd half.
But I'm waiting on how the bookies are gonna price up the undercard's in Vegas next week

Well done ACD and SJ. Didn't smash in as much as you guys this weekend. Just kept it simple with Bellew KO and Matthysse NOT to go distance in a double. The good run of form continues.
Fancy the Martinez KO next week. For the simple reason he wants it so bad.

just caught up with the Matthysse fight...Lucas is one brutal bastard! 'had to feel a bit sorry for Ajose for drawing the short straw. Would pay good money to watch JMM have a go at unpicking Matthysse.

I'd pay good money to see him in with Khan, although im sure Matthysse would not be a "credible" enough opponent for Khan.

Apparently last night he made a comment about Judah beating Matthysse and him beating Judah.

If I were Khan I'd be afraid to even mention his name. Could you imagine Khan attempting his in-and-out pitter patter **** against Matthysse Laugh
By:

When: 10 Sep 12 15:45
Yeah I'd go 1.01 the central/south American dropping of hands by Lucas and letting Khan hit him whilst learing through his gumshield. He'd get brutalized not just cos of his chin but the fact he goes back in straight lines onto the ropes. Rumour has it Ariza will be back on board Wink

Khan is calling him out now, I think the 'too many blows to the head' theory may have some merit. If this fight got made and Khan was all over the media spouting off about the Judah and Maidana formlines we could end up with a lovely market. Wink
