Wretched news that Chryss O’Reilley has died this week.
Back in the day she was a sometime poster on this Forum when it was a lot busier than now.

As a lady of some wealth and importance it reflects well on her that she found time to offer some thoughts and advice here and finding time for all sorts of causes was a constant theme of a life well lived.

She was of course a terrific breeder engaged in a business that other members of her family, Goulandris/Lemos, had also enjoyed greatly.

As quite a sizeable player in our game of great triviality she was perhaps fairly low profile to many industry followers.

I think this upset however will be felt most keenly throughout the game though because of the person she was.

A very sad time.

As someone who benefited from her advise enormously many moons ago when I bounced onto this forum with an abundance of enthusiasm and an embarrassing lack of knowledge I was deeply saddened to learn of her passing.
That someone who regularly played at the top table found the time to share her knowledge and suggest a stallion that ultimately helped me fulfil a dream to breed a winning racehorse shows what a generous and kind Lady she was.
My heart felt condolences to those that knew her best of all that again in the past contributed so generously to this forum.

RIP Very sad news, I didn't know that she had been ill, only 73 as well.
