The late Roaring Lion had his first runner on the track a fews days ago,the Andrew Balding trained Thunder Cat.

He finished in midfield in a decent 2 year old at York.

John Gosden has around 8 two year olds,  Mak Johnston has 6, Andrew Balding 4 ,Hugo Palmer 3 and James Ferguson and Michael Stoute has a few.

He was a cracking horse sad to read of his demise ,hopefully he'll leave some of his genes in some good horses.

Roaring Lion Colt Thunder Cat makes his second start tonight in a novice stakes at Haydock tonight.

The step up to 7 fur will suit but this does look a decent novice race

Lets hope he can go close now having had a previous run under his belt.

Thunder Cat was a big disapointment at Chelmsford last night coming home last of the 9 runners.

Maybe he resented the kickback

smoky hill your obviously a fan . I Thought the lion could go on to be the new saddlers wells . I liked his fighting spirit and agility , he was very reminiscent of saddlers wells . Maybe he can get a dubawi in his crop

I'm not sure about that. He wasn't the best looker. RL not pulling up many trees. Probably better as 3 yo's.

2 Roaring Lions made their debut at Yarmouth yesterday and the filly My Lion ran the better race of the pair beaten just over 4 lengths by the winner running green throughout the race.

Survial was disputing the lead and started to weaken around 2 out both should improve for their debuts.

Mark Johnston has one that could be useful but on the whole they have been disappointing. He's only had 4 or 5 winners and at £40k he is at this moment, a bit of a flop.

dubai mile could be the one , dm only gave dubawi . I've no interest in the horse of course ...  I just looked at him as a punter and he reminded me of saddlers wells .
