In the racing post bloodstock daily letter, they said that cracksman is a C:C. He has two copys of the speed gene, meaning he is more suited to distances of 5 furlongs to a mile. This must have an impact on his progeny. It therefore means he can only pass on the C gene. Surely his stock should be better suited to shorter distances ( depending on the mare obviously). He cant produce a T:T horse, this will make interesting viewing during the season. Just as a reference Galileo was T:T.

By:
Not sure if he will get many sprinting fillies and how being a CC will effect progeny from non CC mares. As you say, it will be interesting viewing.

It will be fascinating to see Cracksman's trajectory following the C:C enlightenment, and whether this belatedly entices commercial breeders.
Any fast start with 2yo's might be from his potential precocity and the class of his mares rather than the mares own precocity, so could he become the best of both breeding spheres? |

Is Frankel already becoming a sire of sires. How often does the best horse become the best stallion, it really is fairy tale stuff.

Ace Impact looks pretty good. If he wins the Arc with a 3yo from his first crop that will be very impresive.
