In anybody’s experience, can a rig race up to its proper potential ungelded or is it generally uncomfortable for them? Thinking of keeping him to race but may try sell at breeze up sales either but then again I know buyers will be put off by the fact he is a rig.

Dansili, Selkirk, AP Indy, New Approach. Are the first to the top of the head.
It depends where the undescended one(s) are located I guess as to any discomfort. I was told that Selkirk for instance had his removed at some stage in his racing career as it did cause him pain, the other was normal and perfectly adequate for stud duty.
Thanks formtwist. I think it may be causing him a bit of discomfort as he appears to be a bit short behind in his walk. I suppose the best thing to do is geld him really. I don’t know how many potential breeze up buyers would be put off but him being a gelding though.. thoughts?? Or do I just race him!!
