He signed for a filly (E750K) from his first crop. A half sister to Shareta (Yorkshire Oaks/Prix Vermeille)
Comments regarding how American Dirt Horses founded Coolmore (Ire). And how Baffert thought he could have been a good horse on turf too. And it looks like they will be going in big on Justify too.
'Be it him, or Justify, we think that a horse of that type can once again have a transforming impact on European bloodlines. So that’s what we want to do: to get the best American Pharoahs we can, put them in Ballydoyle, and try to make him a new Northern Dancer. Remember Scat Daddy was an all-American hero, too, and look what he has been able to do on turf in Europe."
One has to remember they do own him and I believe they have tried to buy justify, not sure if they succeeded..... these were not cheap purchases so am sure they will give them all the support they can in order to get a return on their large investment

Are you sure this was not a foal share so they already owned half or more.
This happened a few years back with Darley on Bernardini lot's of big purchases that added up to very little

Coolmore choose to believe their own hype in this case.
They need Galileo/Danehill outcross desperately and of course they would like to produce it in house.
If they put there money where their mouth is then they gamble that others will follow.
They will of course!

Coolmore have a habit of buying the top lots of their new stallions. Usually they buy 4 or 5 of the top 10 lots, at public auction, of every one of their first seasons sires. It's just a marketing stunt for their forthcoming stallion brochures.
"His progeny sold for £800,000, £650,000, £500,000, £480,000 etc.
Am I the only one that sees through this organisation?
How are they going to get the maximum out of Saxon Warrior. I suspect he'll be retired soon, with an injury he picked up in the Guineas that has only come to light.

Gotchee, I believe this is called supporting your Stallions. All studs do it to a greater or lesser extent and it encourages their clients to keep coming back to use their Stallions. Makes perfect sense to me. Indeed it’s another consideration when I’m choosing my potential pinhook targets.

25% of Galileo's progeny of racing age have never seen a racecourse. Thats 500 unraced progeny x €350,000.00 = €175,000,000.00. Where do all these duds end up?
