Hype is a wonderful thing. I suppose that Frankel gives a greater range of distance but the evidence so far suggests that both produce mainly stayers.

I think a fee of £20k is realistic in view of his yearling average at the sales this year (54,900 gns). Of course Enable is outstanding, but "one swallow does not make a summer"!

Indeed zygote. Pretty decent swallow though. Gives him the same number of European G1 winners as his far more illustrious paternal half brother.
And less G1 wins in fact. Hype is indeed a wonderful thing.. |

Frankel's fee seems a bargain when you look at how much his progeny go for at the sales

If I had a million to spend, I would aim for 2 Frankels and 5 Nathaniels if I could get them. That is ignoring the Dark Angels of course.
