There is an interesting article in the RP today about the practice of vendors having to pay "luck money" to some agents and trainers. Philippa Cooper is quoted as saying:
"I have been threatened by one trainer that if I did not give him luck money he would make sure nobody ever bought from me again". I would love to know who that particular trainer is!!

I doubt it is any that have been convicted in court so that narrows it down by 3.

Though you have to ask how did they pass the BHA licence test when they replied every year since.

I read The Thoroughbred Business by Jocelyn De Moubray years ago.
There was plenty in that book about how people are separated from their money.
The author probably intended those chapters to be a warning to the unwary.
My guess is some in the industry use it as a training manual.
