Adlerflug's pedigree is very similar to supersire Galileo, both second dams are full-sibling sisters, Alya and Allegretta.
Adlerflug (2004) by In The Wings (by Sadler's Wells) out of Aiyana by Last Tycoon out of Alya (Lombard/Anatevka) ... stud fee €12k Galileo (1998) by Sadler's Wells out of Urban Sea by Miswaki out of Allegretta (Lombard/Anatevka) ... stud fee? 300k?
Adlerflug went to stud in 2010. On the Racing Post he has these RPR 100+ runners: Ito; Savoir Vivre; Iquitos; Moonshiner; Wunder; Nordic Flight; Swacadelic; Spend The Cash; Shivajia; Gambissara; Isidor; Meergorl; Space Cowboy.
Strangely the RP website says the fee is €5k and on the same page the stallion advertisement says €12k. Almost all of Adlerflug's runners get 12f. He looks like a middle-distance quality sire at a fraction of the fee of his near relative.
Adlerflug won the 2007 BMW DEUTSCHES DERBY (GROUP 1) (3yo) 1m4f Heavy, by 7 lengths in 2:36.57 (15 ran).
I wanted to know how Allegretta (on Galileo's dam line) and her full-sibling sister Alya (on Alderflug's dam line) rated. Allegretta was rated 101. Alya was rated about 99 (GAG 89.5 = 89.5-40 x 2=99) http://www.turf-times.de/pferd/alya-ger-1984
