He is more Cape Cross than Galileo. He is not correct He lacks quality He's chesnut. His page isn't top class. His sales price tells plenty..
Most private breeders sell their colts BBC, why would you regret that?

If you sell your stock then you need to learn to enjoy their exploits on the track not think what might have been. If you can't then you need to race them. It's either or Truehonch!

Fair enough PM. That's me and my theories well debunked!
There must be a pang of regret in Derby Towers though that the only progeny from Ouija Board sold at public auction won well over a Million quid, two Derbies and is now worth considerably more than 500K?....

I only sell horses so I can buy some more. I hate not being rich enough to keep them all. It would piss me right off if I sold a Derby winner and I don't care how illogical it is. I would happily go skint to watch a horse I owned do something that special.

I think TH, if you owned a Derby winner, 'skint' is something you wouldn't be.....I can't remember the last Derby winner who didn't get a job as a stallion somewhere...even for the NH boys!

Clearly well done PotM and all those faults a figment of the imagination! I sneaked out a bit ahead again which this year was a relief knowing their wounds and issues. Much is made of the "right" sire and certainly a properly cold one was a no go. Really though the mare is the key - you have to have the page and she has to produce them correct and athletic.

Nannyflow, best of luck, as you are taking a big gamble. Whatever anyone's view of his stock so far (which seemed positive enough) it won't affect the price of the foal you get. That will depend entirely on the success of his progeny on the racetrack this year and next.

nanny I wasn't the biggest fan as I thought him faultable and a bit unpreposessing a la Cape Cross.

Taught he was a very good horse, blessed with a lot of speed for a derby winner,( and no am not A O B....LOL) remembered more for loosing the Irish champion. He finished third in a good guineas, might well of won it had he being on the other side. Seen him in the flesh as 2 yr old and 3 yr, and must say i taught he was good looking animal on both occasions, all in all he was unlucky not to retire undefeated, fell out of the stalls on his first start only to be beating a neck, and the other 2 loses above.

The Guineas is an interesting one, Night of Thunder's drift across the track didn't go unnoticed apparently, wrong side, and still only hd behind Kingman.

Sydney Opera House, very impressive debut yesterday, it's worth the effort finding the replay for those who missed it, if it finds the usual AOB improvement from 1st to 2nd run it should be an explosive performance.

2nd in the European first crop sires.(As per the Racing Post today) 3 G1 placed colts. 1 G2 winning filly.
Some nice maiden performances, lot's to look forwards too next year. Didn't have the real headline maker to support at this years Autumn sales but overall a very pleasing start and I'm very happy with my choice.

I’m pleased with my choice. Kingman undoubtedly is being hailed as the next sire sensation, and not without foundation, but with Australia only £90k behind in the UK and Ireland table, neck and neck at 21% winners to runners in euro stakes and both having 5 runners rated 110 or more in the UK I couldn’t be more delighted.
Autumn will apparently see some interesting stock see the track.
Good luck all.

Certainly getting winners in the second half of the season. He has sired one more winner than Galileo in GB this year which might surprise a few of you. 21 of his 36 GB wins have been since July 1.
