Off to stud after the BC this weekend.
Interesting pedigree-obviously DANSILI was a miler, but presumably the SADLER'S WELLS mare who was his dam imparted the stamina to allow him to win those 12f G1 races.
As a thought-would a mixed pedigree like this be more attractive to a breeder as the Grandsire of any offspring would be a speed influence? To a layman like myself, this would be a more attractive cover than a horse like Nathaniel (much discussed is he), who has a stamina laden pedigree on both sides of his page?

His mother was a good one.

His dam line has good sires: Sadler's Wells; Shirley Heights; Ile De Bourbon; Habitat; Vaguely Noble.
Those good sires on the dam line were by good sires: Northern Dancer; Mill Reef; Nijinsky; Sir Gaylord; (Vienna, sire of Vaguely Noble the exception). Flintshire has the racing record, and the ancestors. He must have a decent chance of producing good ones. |

Compared to some of the first seasoners we are seeing over this side of the water, and based on his pedigree/record that would seem pretty good value-although he's obviously likely to be an influence for stamina over speed. |

If he comes back to this side after a few years at that price or less he will be an incredible bargain.
And everyone will ignore him as they pay more to produce an early maturing type for immediate sale. |
