Notice he had a 2yo stakes double yesterday at the Curragh & Louisiana Downs and I understand the trainer of Landfall rates him very highly.
He seems more than capable of getting a good one - mainly in AUS.
According to a Racing Post article I found, in 2013 he covered 174 Mares at €6,500 a pop in France. Since then he's been covering at €5,000. I have no idea his book size since then. Does anyone know? The return on mares looks incomplete.
His European sales average has held up over the years - 32k, 21k, 22k & 21k, his median is a bit iffier 19k, 14k, 19k & 12k but not a complete disaster for a cheapy.
Have we missed the boat on this one or do you think he will kick on!
By the by, has anyone had a mare covered in France (or Germany for that matter)or does the very thought send a shiver down the spine?
With the lower/middle end of the market looking so poor at the moment will having something by a Stallion from the mainland of Europe in a UK or Irish sale make your unique proposition more attractive or less attractive?
I may have raised this before as there is a bit of deja vu about it - I apologise if I have.
