Retired. Will be in all the papers tomorrow. Applications close 3rd December. Preference given to Group,winners and producers. Fee to be set later date.

Truehonch, sounds like he's going to be a bit expensive for anyone without an oil well or trust fund.
For god's sake though never say never, this industry is just a dream factory and we've all got to keep doing it. |

Not necessarily a hefty fee. Given the history of this outfit the book is capped and the stallion doesn't shuttle to earn more. There will be at least half the mares from the home band so the rest have to have some kind of fair filter. Right mare, right fee....pity none of mine fit the bill !

CHARLIE HILLS believes Muhaarar would have been fully effective around Keeneland’s two-turn mile if the year’s champion sprinter had been asked to compete at the Breeders’ Cup – but he made clear that question would not be posed when on Sunday confirming the outstanding colt’s retirement. Owner-breeder Hamdan Al Maktoum, who will now stand Muhaarar at stud next year, argued after his superstar’s fourth Group 1 success in Ascot’s British Champions Sprint the Oasis Dream three-year-old might not have been suited by the demands of a race his sire was defeated in on his farewell outing 12 years ago. Hills does not hold that same fear, but he does agree a line should now be drawn under Muhaarar’s racing career. He said: “As much as I would like to run him at the Breeders’ Cup I don’t think it would be the right thing to do. He does not now need to do any more and he is too valuable to risk. “If we had chosen to go to America I think he would have gone around there easily as he isn’t a big, ungainly horse. However, when you look at his record I would say what more does he need to do?” Sprint programme working Hills added: “What they have done with the sprinting programme for three-year-olds is great. Muhaarar started sprinting in the Commonwealth Cup, and the more he did it the more used to it he became. “With something like a Middle Park winner you always used to have to try to get him to stay a mile. Now you don’t have to do that, and a horse like Shalaa can stick to sprinting if that’s what connections want to do.” Muhaarar finishes his glittering racing career as a winner of seven races - four at Group 1 level - in 11 starts, amassing total earnings of just over £1.2 million. |

good performance, broke well and you knew it would power home, armchair experts telling public difficult for horses to hold their form so late on in the season, after lethal force, slade power and now muhaara, top sprinting races have proven to be very successful races over the last 3 seasons, with the best delivering in the top races, form worked out well with twilight son finishing 2nd, every year theres always one horse that cleans up.
no doubt next season will get another horse that will clean up again, which stallion that will produce that horse, will have to wait and see. cheverley park stud have bought twilight son. |

Not every season. the older sprinters have been regularly beating each other every year since 2010.

Certainly Shalaa looks the poart and John Gosden has compared him to Oasis Dream which is a high bar to aim at.

twilight son another cream of the crop rising to the top again, interesting ryan moore saying they were going to slow for twilight son otherwise would of won more easily, will be great if it can do the double in the july cup, seems kyllachy is the number one this year stallion sprinter.
4th year in a row the best have delivered again. |
