Not there so can't comment. Early days but tbh this looks hard work so far. Lots of well bred horses not making stellar amounts, they can't all be horrible looking. Galileo half sister to Dundonell (out of Danehill's sister) cant make 250k. They've paying that for Kodiac colts out of unraced daughters of platers. Tatts blog saying a big well done to Newsells for getting 220k for a full brother to their stallion Equiano....

Looked like a nice horse sage, but not a handy one and with so much stamina on the page that might have been a worry.
The Oasis Dream from the mare has won over 10 furlongs so you might almost get a cup horse by Frankel!
Of course it's all conjecture, but things have to be mighty attractive to 2 bidders if you want 1m + , it might just be because his mane was out of place!
Zillions for th right horse this week but the bottom knows no bounds for sure.
My favourite astonishment, a €13k cover, a filly out of an Atraf mare and she out of a Belfort mare, you all know the one!

Thanks potm. I understand your points but Frankel had a lot of speed and Dar Re Mi was a very good horse so if I had that sort of money I would have looked on him as a Derby horse on paper and surely they are the ones that make mega money.

I don't think you will want to be paying any more for that colt. He was not a good looking colt compared to some at the sale. In fact the Frankel's were a very mixed bunch and however they turn out he certainly isn't stamping his stock. In the end he averaged £450k which isn't bad for an unproven sire and made an average profit of £300K.
