I always think 'Horsey' people - not necessarily Racing Folk - are probably only succeeded in their potential for eccentricity by those who show dogs! Whilst I didn't read into the statement that it was a jump or push scenario I have always surmised that the person in question seemed to be an 'individual' or 'character' if you like. That it didn't work out is hardly a surprise but I only have gut feelings to base that on, there's certainly no facts Involved.
