Honoured to field a call from a forum member this afternoon. Turns out he's a gentleman on the phone as well as on the forum! Hope my colleague could assist.

Oh, you are good Posh Paddy. I was struggling to think who on earth could be a gentleman on here and then I realised your post was nothing more than an elaborate April Fool's prank!

JohnnyM I really feel I must take you to task. Incorrigible rogues you and I may be, but I really think the majority of forumites are made of sterner moral stuff!

I must say that the subject matter of the topic and the post seemed a little cryptic and had me flummoxed for some while but then suddenly it became clear to me and I must say Posh I had an out loud chuckle!
I am aware of the phone conversation in question as it took place with a 'colleague' who has authorised me to reply to your post. The colleague made the phone call by way of fishing for a certain product which he guessed may be readily available as it is in a slightly crossroadsy sort of area. Sure enough the colleague was correct but sadly the price still remained out of reach.

The colleague enjoyed the interaction with your good self a little more than he enjoyed that with the main protagonist who was very much in Sales mode rather than helpful mode. The colleague has subsequently emailed the protagonist in case the product can move further in price but no reply so far, apparently.

Any way, it was nice to find out, secondhand of course, where you are plying your trade and I hope you are enjoying it and it is helping keep the wolf away from your doorway.
Potm!

Love the contributions on this, just wish there were more, I remember Prima Donna having issues about continuing to post, much missed, presume he wrapped it up?

Any guineas horses ye like as potential stallions? There seems talk between Guineas and derby on Ol' Man river, nothing sure, almost as if he ain't ready even though they might have brilliance elsewhere. could see him winning the Eclipse..... love how the second career gives the great flat races so much meaning. No fanfare for a Lexus or Hennessey winner in ireland, simply consumed by the bast in Mid-March, some week, though.

I apologise for the cryptic nature of the post PM however I know how closely people guard their anonymity and didn't want to just blurt out that I had spoken to your "colleague".  It was nice to share a few words with them even if they were purely professional.

As for "sales" mode of my colleague, I can only apologise, I had spoken to them and told them that they were dealing with an outfit who's sales results showed that they were no mugs, however from what you are saying they may not have taken the information on board.

I had suggested a different colleague to speak to initially who was sadly not in the office and come Tuesday it could be worth talking to them as they "may" have some different options.

Sadly my time at the organisation in question is drawing to a close at the end of the month and I will be back on the hunt for work.  I've learned a hell of a lot and greatly enjoyed it especially attending the sales where I was lucky enough to witness in person your recent success.

As for Prima Donna, I'm sure he's enjoying warming climes with a nice glass of wine and reflecting on his many past glories.

Gosh, Posh, the colleague will be delighted to be referred to as no mug. I know for a fact they still have a mare not booked yet because they are simply clueless as to which way to turn! I know that they are keener to credit luck and Serendipity rather than any great talent!
How Prima Donna shall be welcomed back on here by me for sure. Mind you after yesterday at Lingfield, I think we can manage without him until his demeanour is a little more equable! That was a shocker.

I shall look forward to your news, but of course a little veiled, as to what is next in the great career trajectory!
