Any one spot the next Viztoria in this weeks Goffs sales? There always seem to be some bargains at this sale

Also with the Euro weakening do we expect to see UK buyers more active at this sale?

I don't see why anyone would travel for this. I honestly think its the worst Goffs Feb catalogue for quite a few years.

The only decent lot, 445 Royal Rascal, has been withdrawn.

Late May cover and 12yo are the drawbacks there I'd imagine

Not really, most of the decent ones have late covers which is a difficult start with a mare

I tried hard to find something i could get excited about having missed out on 3 or 4 at Tatts.  But there were very few i liked here really.  Down to one on a shortlist so lets hope that goes ok

I got the one i wanted to buy, even though i paid everything i had for her, so i probably didnt get that much value but shes a racehorse for this year i hope.  Any small setback and she'll be covered late spring.  Lot 389 for those with interest what a lunatic with a few spare quid wants to buy at a sale.  She called Perfect Persuasion and cost 36k Euro

Well done, I went both days but didn't pick anything up, I thought trade was strong,  at least your filly has 2yo win on the page, though she left it late!

Agree trade was strong enough for what was on offer.  Was there both days and was underbidder twice on an Elzaam colt yearling and an Acclamation broodmare prospect. You have to stick to your guns though as it's easy to overpay.

Spoke to one buyer who on purchasing one lot said, "If she was at any other sale she would have been €15k less but she stood out here".

Well done Koo on picking one up.

PP I do t know if  410 was the Acclamation you were after but that one stole my eye as the best looking horse I saw over the 2 days, cost plenty mind you for what was on the page, but she sure was nice

OV I'm flattered that you think I operate in the lot 410 bracket. It was lot 462 that I failed on.

Not surprised it was an English buyer I lost out too though. In November they were getting roughly €12.5k for 10k sterling, now they are getting €13.5k.Surprised
