Elusive Pimpernel might not be everyone's cup of tea but it is my view he is a shot to nothing for the small breeder.  He covered 78 in 2012, 54 in 2013 and 100 in 2014. Most significantly he has covered Snow Fairy in 2014. As the old saying goes; "Dont look a gift horse in the mouth"

Not long ago big name sons of Elusive Quality, Smarty Jones & Raven's Pass, rather disappointed as sires. But Evasive and Quality Road have perhaps indicated they could turn that around.

I would just worry the EP's could be rather slow to come to hand, he is a big horse ex a Sadlers Wells mare. But I agree he probably offers value. Don't be afraid of the cheap stallions.

Former Derby runner up Dragon Dancer seems not to have been given much of a chance to prove itself, certainly as a NH sire. Whisked off across the Channel by the looks of it and not up to much.

Also would love to see Winker Watson given something decent to make a name for itself.
