Im a rookie re breeding but how has this horse become a stallion ?
ok he won a group 1 but he is clearly a group 3 horse..

the ads will read something like 'tough, consistent, precocious by one of the hottest young sires in Europe. At two he was a listed winner , at three he won a classic trial and was a group 2 winner of the Lennox stakes at four he defeated a high class field to win the Prix Maurice de Gheest. His sire Dutch Art has rapidly established himself among the elite of Europe's young stallions and he comes from a fine Cheveley Park family'. He mightn't be everyone's cup of tea but they will probably look for c.£6000

Treve managed to put up a useful performance on the ground despite being not 100% and supposedly a mud lark. An ordinary horse as you say Ibrahima. Unfortunately for the breed in general an ordinary horse by a trendy sire with a sprint profile will go to stud now and a top class one with a beautiful pedigree may not if he has made the mistake of staying more than a mile and a quarter. Dark Angel and Showcasing to name but two, mean that this phenomenem isn't going anywhere soon. |
