Will he pass the soundness requirements of a stallion registered in Germany?

I think he is best kept there if so. He might have been a great horse but he goes to stud as another German 'gallops and stays'.
Ie. not the easiest!

I think he will end as a NH stallion.
Sea The Moon has only run in Germany (5 races). [NEGATIVE]

The dam Satwa has as far as I can see only produced one good one, Sea The Moon. [NEGATIVE]
The grand dam produced three useful full-sibling progeny: Salve Regina; Samum; Schiaparelli.
But they did all their winning in Germany (and Italy). [NEGATIVE]
It is all middle-distance, and breeders prefer 8f/10f quality. [NEGATIVE]

Race__________________________Course__________Name___________Age__Years___Grade_____Dist_f

Gran Premio Del Jockey Club___San Siro________Schiaparelli____ 4___3Yo+___Group 1___11.9
Grosser Preis Von Berlin______Hoppegarten_____Schiaparelli____ 4___3Yo+___Group 1___11.9

He had a wide margin win in the Deutsches Derby [POSITIVE], but he beat zero horses on the stand side. [NEGATIVE]

He is a gamble.

He will stand in Germany for the owners for at least euro 15-20k.  They'll not struggle for german and french flat mares that is for sure.  That Monsun (middle distance, only won in germany, dad of those 'useful' Grp1 winners Samum & Schiap) he really struggled, ended up a NH stallion.   Only the UK and Ireland are obsessed with speed stallions.

THIS year's scintillating Deutsches Derby winner Sea The Moon will stand at Lanwades Stud in Newmarket next year at a fee of £15,000.

Blandford Bloodstock brokered the deal for the first-crop son of Sea The Stars. The colt will be partially syndicated with his breeder Gestut Gorlsdorf retaining an interest.

Sea The Moon was trained by Markus Klug to win four of his five starts and £437,439 in prize-money. Successful on his only start at two, Sea The Moon looked a horse of huge potential when winning his first two starts at Group 2 and Group 3 level this season.

He was sent off the well-backed 9-5 favourite for the Deutsches Derby at Hamburg in July and did not disappoint, making all before powering clear to win by a stunning 11 lengths under Christophe Soumillon.

Thanks for that info.
I assume he is the first son of Sea The Stars to stud.
It is interesting that they say "will be" partially syndicated.
Does anyone know how much "interest" is retained by the breeder?
