'London' Sale

All for new ways to shift horses but what was the point in this sale.  I thought it was intended as a way to bring new (City) money into the game with an auction focused around a lavish dinner for invited swinging dks.  All I see is arabs, advisers of arabs, agents and a few trainers buying.  Couldve just phoned a few up and asked if they wanted to offer for the given horse (and saved the commission).  I dont get it.
