Having looked through the Santa Anita card for Monday 20th Jan, every single runner in a 9 race meeting was slated for having Lasix.
Is it unusual to have NO medication free runners or is it just a declaration of an option to use?

It's unusual but most horses in the USA run doped up on Lasix. This is a shame as it means that the actual reliability of the US stallions is open to serious question. It's ages now since they dominated European breeding through the great source of most of our great horses - Northern Dancer. Trouble with the racing in the states is that it seems to be good at identifying the best doped horses rather than the best horses.
