There has been quite, An few high profile sales to buyers from around the world. And, the sale topper so far.

Chicquita At, €6,000,000 for an mare who won the,Irish Oaks and has not raced since. So
how would you justify spending that amount? ,If you could afford to spend that kind of,
money on an broodmare?. Would you be willing to take that risk yourself?

Are there any that have sold at, Goffs so far you think mite prove an bargain buy?,If you do which
of theses foals, broodmares & yearlings tickle your fancy?.

Does anyone really set limits or would you possible over spend?, for an mare to breed from for either profit.
Or to race and breed from?. The sales never seem to stop throwing up some interesting topics to think about.

They did mention something about her fertility can not remember the full details.
but this mare was highly unlikely to get in foal. I'm sure there would be someone
better who could explain it more than myself with an vet's back ground.

hope that answer your question ovalu

there are a reasonable number of players in the market who don't give a monkeys about £10m because they have that much coming in every month. or week. so at the very top end prices are unreal. i don't think we should complain about these guys being in the game, you never know if it will be your horse they want one day.

I understand your point of view there, Jim. What I'm more frustrated about really,

Is the lack of spreading this wealth around to encourage new line's of breeding,

Does there really need to be say for instance three sets of potential broodmares

on same lines of was? Over kill in my eyes. Just want to see something change for,

the good of breeding in the coming months and years. I was reading back on one

certain big breeder who was meant to adore an certain horse who won well over,

2 million in prize money and where this horse now? Abroad because he was so unfashionable

On his bloodlines. And its not like he could not of supported him with the amount of,

broodmares this operation has. But hey ho that the way of the world currently.

Just think it helps to try and get people thinking about it, Doubt will change many

people mind set on breeding right now? At least,I've aired my view and not bottled it up.

Now it's been very silent for the past week on the threads of breeding. I do wonder? Where all the
Ambitious breeders have gone not expressing their views like one does. Are people that frightened off?
From expressing an opinion,

Data which will forever? Be stored electronically & forever. & that part I feel I've missed in some of the recent comments. I've made in the past giving up information.

So freely and views on certain aspects of idea's one does have. We all live & learn from mistake's &
That is what this novice is doing, each day. I am learning something new, & is then stored in data & memory from reading past threads & on twitter & over media outlets with information about the world.
