I was recently looking at where some of the 2000 guiness winners of past 5 years have been doing at stud
and most do not seemed to be well received by breeders. What i am wondering is this more down to the who
owned and trained the winner than more down to the horse and his breeding,I was looking at cockney rebel
recently. And he does not seem to have an awful lot of runners so far but from what i have seen of his they
have all been nice to look at and  tough on racecourse to so there plenty to like about him.I'm interested to
listening what people views are on guiness winners in the post 2005  era

Often thought Cockney Rebel was a very underrated horse. No fluke about his Guineas win and then bolted up in the Irish version. Would have also won a very good renewal of the St James' Palace if not for being injured mid race and veering his chance away.

Interestingly it was Geoff Huffer's only turf winner of the season! An incredible training performance as he had to gallop him alone. He also showed decent judgement as he told the world and his wife he had the Guineas winner, SP 33/1. Often still see him around Newmarket, although obviously not on the racetrack.

I was having a look back Cockney rebel H.Q guineas win and he beat a very strong field there that day.I do wonder how well received he has been by breeders as his pedigree is not one that jumps out of the page for the bigger breeders to chance i would be guessing. Is there anyone or anywhere i can check to see amount of mares he has covered each season since he been at stud  as, I'm still an novice to trying to find out that information.I wonder if will stay at the national stud much longer being there aimed at running an more commercial operation

THE Haras de Saint Arnoult in Normandy, France, will be the new home of dual Guineas winner Cockney Rebel next year (2014)

Thank you kemoh i have been searching around for different sort of data as i have always been interested in the breed but once i become a stable lad my time was forever taken up so never got much chance to really look into the breeding more. Now i  have chance to research more about the pedigree's on different blood lines which i am finding very interesting, i'll have a read on the link you put i know he had some success on france recently with cockney bob winning five times and finishing third in listed race  on latest start.I was lucky enough to see his 2000 guineas win live at the track and even more lucky to have signed race card by Mr peslier only found it again over day had kept it tucked away framed even got sixty icon win signed by frankie so mite be worth bit now who knows with these things.
It be good to see his two foals at sales end of month not seen any of his off spring in the flesh so far

The least fashionable 1000 Guineas winner of recent years was probably Speciosa although she did have Group 1 winning grandparents (Danehill, Sharpen Up and Alleged) and her apparent obscurity (she made 30k as a yearling) stemmed from the small yard she was trained in.

I agree what i would of found interesting is how so many small trainers like pam sly find these little diamonds in the
rough.Id put that down to attitude of a lot bloodstock agents not willing to risk on a filly who would be back woulds and
probable quite gangly in her appearance if that how she looked as an yearling.Does anyone know if there was ever an interview
done with her about how she spotted Speciosa ?
