Haven't looked yet but I had a quick flick through Doncaster. Out of interest what do you think of lots 160 & 168?
160 2yo winner, a young first dam & strong G1 2nd dam.
168 1 run, strong 2nd & 3rd dam.
Only asking as when I used to work for an agent, I always used to try and "spot" an emerging mare even without black type first dam. If she'd been covered by a completely different type of stallion, I used to think there could be a bargain or two around. I got it right several times although my boss baulked at buying a filly for peanuts called Crimson Glory who then very shortly afterwards had a pretty nice half sister in Crimplene!

If you want something that's going to be commercial that can make a good return then try and find a young mare who all being well has a win under her belt at two, plenty of winners on her page not necessarily black type but precocious winners is by a fast precocious sire and is in-foal to a nice precocious stallion who's stock are going to be in demand. If she looks a good sort and walks well then that's pretty much everything you want.Trade will most likely be strong.

I'm just going through HIT sale whilst eating my Porridge in the mornings.
Every time I see a filly of interest I have to check myself. It's not a sale that I have ever had any success at and Prima's comment that Dec will be strong applies to HIT too.
I can see no sane person getting any where near anything remotely desirable this Autumn!
